Based on the profile of the borehole, and maps of mine described the geological structure of the examined area. Correlation of coal seams is done in the direction of the W - E through the southern part of the mining area shows the structure of the Załęże beds, the Ruda ss beds, and the Zabrze beds made of shale, mudstones, sandstones with inserts and coal seams. The most coal fonds is Zabrze beds coal thickness increases towards the west. Otwory górnicze zlokalizowane są w Górnośląskim Zagłębiu Węglowym. Badania i analiza zostały wykonane na podstawie wyżej wymienionych profili oraz w oparciu o literaturę. Profile są zróżnicowane litostratygraficznie. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaNiniejsza praca inżynierska przedstawia charakterystykę geologiczno-złożową węglonośnych utworów górnokarbońskich. Została ona wykonana na podstawie trzech otworów wiertniczych: Janina-88, LD-7 i LC-1, znajdujących się we wschodniej części GZW. Osady górnokarbońskie znajdujące się w badanych otworach należą do krakowskiej serii piaskowcowej, która dzieli się na warstwy libiąskie oraz warstwy łaziskie. We wszystkich badanych otworach występują pokłady węgla kamiennego, zazwyczaj o małych miąższościach. Analiza złożowa została wykonana na podstawie wskaźników węglonośności i węglozasobności. Wartość węglozasobności w analizowanych otworach dla warstw libiąskich wynosi od 1,64% do 5,42%, natomiast w warstwach łaziskich waha się od 1,64% do 3,34%. Badania zostały przeprowadzone w oparciu o graniczne wartości parametrów definiujących złoże i jego granice, które pozwoliły na odpowiednie zakwalifikowanie pokładów węgla kamiennego.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Elastic properties and structural observations of Distaloy SA powder sintered with boron and carbon(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2017) Perek-Nowak, Małgorzata; Karwan-Baczewska, JoannaOne of the methods aimed at increasing the density in PM parts is the process of activated sintering performed by adding boron as elementary boron powder, for example. Under this researchwork novel, PM materials were obtained based on prealloyed and diffusion bonded powder (type: Distaloy SA) with the following chemical composition: Fe-1.75%Ni-1.5%Cu-0.5%Mo, with the addition of 0.55 wt.% carbon and boron (0.2, 0.4 and 0.6 wt.%). Distaloy SA samples alloyed with carbon and boron were manufactured by mixing the powders in a Turbula mixer, then compacting the mixture in a hydraulic press under a pressure of 600 MPa and sintered in a tube furnace at 1473 K for 60 minutes in a hydrogen atmosphere. The densification process of Distaloy SA parts with boron and carbon depends on the sintering mechanism. In order to evaluate the sintering mechanism of the PM samples, structural investigations using SEM/EDS were performed. During sintering of these materials at 1473 K, a liquid phase is generated as a result of the reaction occurring between the alloy matrix and the complex of carbo-borides, which leads to a considerable degree of consolidation. Wydział Inżynierii Materiałowej i CeramikiItem type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Environmental friendly consumption of scrap tires in eaf's to save power and carbon(2008) Joulazadeh, Mohammad HassanWorld wastes nearly 1.3 billions of tire/year, while Iran wastes 8 millions pieces of tire annually. This study and investigation shows that waste tires can be a substitute for coal & coke in EAF as environmental friendly. In this study Esfahan Steel Company (ESCo) consumed waste tires with 6 Mg capacity EAF. Thirteen grades of steel including Iow, medium & high C content as well as Iow & high alloys were produced during 73 heats. The result was very successful & coke consumption rate reduced from 18 to 0 kg/Mg of steel. Electricity consumption decreased from 448 to 388 kWh/Mg. Stack gas analysis & measuring was done and the achieved results indicate the polluted gases content such as CO, NOX and SO2 is much less than the limited range. Industrial tests continued in Iran Alloy Steel Co. where 20 heats were made in 40 Mg capacity EAF with 30 MVA transformer capacities. The results are as follows: waste tires can be substitute for C in EAF steelmaking & the costs lowered by 5 €/Mg, the use of waste tires for additional chemical energy can further decrease electric energy consumption up to by 10-25%. The average S% in steel products was lower than 0.026, the environment is improved by consumption of waste tires in EAF instead of burying them in landfills. The process is reliable, economic & ecological. The large sized scrap tires like these of graders, mining earth movers, trucks & farm tires can be charged in EAF as whole used tires. Dioxin formation peaks at 200°C and decreases unsymmetrically with increasing temperature. Knowing their potential generation is not only an important issue for science, but also for the industry. The results obtained with the apparatus Rock-Eval made for samples taken from the deposit „Brzeszcze” confirmed that coal and rocks containing inserts of carbon, in spite of considerable maturity of organic matter, have a great potential for methane generation. Methane gas is highly explosive, is a huge threat to run in a fluid operation. Metanowość mine is conditioned mainly by geological conditions. The influence of the intensity of mining is also not irrelevant, because with the increase in the intensity of mining, also increases the intensity of the desorption of methane from the deposit.
