    The study's purpose was to find well logging determined flooded intervals of reservoir rocks with viscosous oil. The current state of recognition of oil and natural gas requires the use of new technologies to intensify the production of hydrocarbons from the available oil and gas deposits, therefore the issue of controlling the process of reservoir rock flooding with water (injection) is very important. The research was conducted on the example of Semenowske oil field. This oil field is located in the north-western part of the Kerch peninsula. Rocks are mainly represented by limestones that are in all borehole profiles, in addition, clays - dark gray, brown, non-lime, sometimes sandy. The work proposes a technology of research by using indicator liquids, namely a saline indicator solution. The method consists in the fact in pumping salt water into the reservoir with viscosous oil and selected production wells with samples analyzed for content of injected solution. The salt solution is stable, under pressure it can be pushed into the bed, it is biologically inactive, it does not chemically react with oil, it is stable in the reservoir conditions. Different phase permeability of salt water and oil is used.
