Item type:Book Chapter, Access status: Open Access , Analysis of methane as energy fuel – operational issues(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2023) Kalwar, Adam; Pytel, Krzysztof; Kurdziel, Franciszek; Grzywnowicz, Grzegorz; Melnyk, MykhayloIssues that are related to the operation of cogeneration generators that are powered by gas engines that use mine gas as a fuel are presented. Gas engines are increasingly being used to drive electric generators; in such an application, gas is used as a fuel, whether it is mine gas, coke oven gas, septic tank gas, or mains natural gas. In an area where coal is mined, mine gas is commonly used as a fuel to power combined heat and power (CHP) generators. The use of mine gas as a fuel is highly desirable – both for environmental and economic reasons. The benefits and difficulties of using this gas as a fuel are presented.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Modelowanie zjawiska ferrorezonansu w układach elektroenergetycznych wysokich napięć(2007) Nowak, Wiesław; Kercel, BartłomiejW pracy przedstawiono komputerowe symulacje ferrorezonansu w układach elektroenergetycznych wysokich napięć, mające istotne znaczenie dla określenia zagrożeń wynikłych w momencie jego powstania. Do analizy zjawiska ferrorezonansu w układach elektroenergetycznych wysokich napięć zastosowano program Electromagnetic Transients Program (EMTP).Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Współczesne zagadnienia rozwoju elektroenergetyki(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2025) Barczentewicz, Szymon; Benesz, Mariusz; Bień, Andrzej; Danioł, Mateusz; Duda, Krzysztof; Florkowski, Marek; Kmak, Jarosław; Korbiel, Tomasz; Marszałek, Zbigniew; Moskwa, Szczepan; Nabielec, Jerzy; Nowak, Wiesław; Sroka, Ryszard; Tarko, Rafał; Wetula, Andrzej; Zydroń, PawełThe paper presents selected areas of scientific activity of the Electrical Power Engineering Research Team, which relate to the development of the electrical power in the aspect of the energy transition processes taking place and the resulting development of distributed generation. Issues of analysis and modeling of electric power systems, integration of distributed generation sources into the electric power system, support for the design of insulating systems of electric power equipment and methods of diagnostics of insulating systems in the electric power industry are presented. A model for the management of energy distribution in SMART networks is also presented, combining demand forecasting, dynamic market prices and weather conditions with optimization of energy storage and grid inverter operation.
