    Geothermal waters are unusually attractive, independent of the global political, economic and climatic variations energy source. Significant impact on the development of geothermal energy investments will be further cooperation amount the central and local governments, non-governmental institutions and potential investors. The possibilities of geothermal water uses in the Outer Polish Carpathians depend both on the water parameters and local energy markets. Conditions for the occurrence of geothermal waters in the flysh Carpathians in Poland, especially in the eastern part are poorly identified, but definitely different than in other Polish regions. In this region, the main way to use geothermal water will be recreation and balneotherapy. Implementation of geothermal water in heating sector is possible only in a few places, one will need but in any case a reliable economic analysis of the project. One of the more interesting and promising areas for the development of geothermal water is Myślenice region.

    Występowanie żelaza i manganu w wodach przeznaczonych do spożycia w Polsce

    Projekt poświęcony jest złożonemu zagadnieniu, jakim jest występowanie żelaza i manganu w wodach przeznaczonych do spożycia w Polsce.Autor w ramach pracy, dokonując analizy dotychczasowego stanu wiedzy wyznaczył sobie następujące zadania: przedstawienie wagi problemu, czyli skutków – w tym zdrowotnych – występowania żelaza i manganu w wodach przeznaczonych do spożycia, ukazanie zróżnicowania występowania żelaza i manganu w wodach surowych oraz wskazania istotnych zmian ich stężeń podczas procesu ujmowania i dystrybucji wody, określenie przyczyn występującego stanu rzeczy oraz pokazanie możliwych, proponowanych przez różnych autorów rozwiązań.
