    Analiza geologiczno-złożowa utworów autochtonicznych miocenu gazu ziemnego w obszarze Lubliniec-Cieszanów

    Geological and reservoir analysis of Lubliniec - Cieszanów multihorizontal natural gas deposit, located in the NE part of the Carpathian Foreland. The deposit is associated with lifted base of Miocene formations. Data obtained during the recognition of the deposit enable to claim that gas trap structure creates compaction anticline formed above the elevated underlying formations. Structural variety of horizons caused that in the area of study three distinct structural elements could be specified: A, B and C with the extensiveness on NW – SE line. Accumulation of gas is related to Sarmatian sandy - clayey – muddy formations range from 320 to 600 meters below surface. In all, in the three elements of reservoir, about 243 million Nm3 of geological resources of methane - rich natural gas with C category have been documented. Recovery rate of the deposit is about 0.77. Based on that rate, it has been estimated that there is approximately 188 million Nm3 of C category natural gas resources. Deposit meets the viability criteria.
