    Identification of TV programs based on provider's logo analysis

    This article presents a method involving the automatic identification of the Internet TV program by examining the logo sign of the program provider. Such identification of the provider's logo will allow to control access to video programs of specific broadcasters in order to block access to multimedia content with inappropriate themes for underage persons. A new algorithm to recognize the Internet TV program from the video stream in real time has been prepared and developed.

    Usually parents or guardians' supervision over children during television viewing is restricted to selecting programs by the parents, or simply establishing viewing hours for the broadcasted channels. This article consists of an overview of the available solutions, methods and security devices preventing potential viewers from viewing age-inappropriate television programs, as well as the elaborated and designed by the authors method preventing children from viewing inappropriate channels.
