Wydział Inżynierii Materiałowej i CeramikiThis work concerns the influence of chemical composition of aluminosilicate glasses, focused on $A_{12}O_{3}/Sio_{2}$ ratio, on the course of hydration process in natural conditions during autoclaving with activation of strong, high concentrated alkalis. The analysis of accessible literature allows to formulate the thesis that "The $A_{12}O_{3}/Sio_{2}$ ratio in aliminosilicate glasses plays the decisive role in the alkali activation processes of these glasses" In this work $NaOH$ was used. The examinations were carried out on the 10xl0x60mm samples. The samples matured in the natural conditions and also during the autoclaving process. The obtained hydrates have been subjected to the following examinations: XRD, IR, NMR, DTA, SEM-EDS, heat emission and strength tests. Among the hydration products there were detected the zeolites, geopolymerswhere, hydrogarnets and amorphous phases like C-S-H and C-A-S-H. In several samples there was also discovered crystalline $A1_{2}O_{3}$ (boehmite). The obtained results have been analyzed, what allows to formulate the conclusions included in the doctor's thesis.
