Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , An analysis of fluids after hydraulic fracturing in the aspect of their further use or neutralization(2013) Jamrozik, Aleksandra; Gonet, Andrzej; Czekaj, LucynaToday’s ecological policy focuses on preventing anthropogenic environmental hazards. A large share of activities are oriented to the precise recognition of hazards and use of solutions thanks to which the negative environmental effects of mining activity can be considerably reduced. Issues related to the recovery of water after hydraulic fracturing with emphasis on the possible utilization and management of fluids after hydraulic fracturing in Polish conditions are discussed in view of the respective law.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Analysis of waste mud stability(2014) Jamrozik, Aleksandra; Gonet, Andrzej; Fijał, Jerzy; Terpiłowski, Konrad; Czekaj, LucynaDrilling fluids play a number of functions, e.g. they remove cuttings, lubricate the drill bits, maintain stability of the hole and prevent the inflow-outflow of fluids between well and the shales. For this reason, they are made of complex polymeric-mineral microcomposites of differentiated chemical and mineralogical-phase content with varying share of colloidal phase in dispersed solid phase in water, i.e. water-based muds (WBM) or oil environment, i.e oil-based muds (OBM). The major factor providing stability of the presented systems is the high participation of clayey minerals (smectite group), long-chain polymers and chemicals stabilizing dispersions. The results of analyses of concentrated dispersions of waste muds from a few regions in Poland are presented int he paper. These are plastic-viscous dispersions of rheological parameters described most frequently by the Herschel-Bulkley model, the flow of which is connected with deformations of internal structures in the analyzed systems taking place in a function of temperature. There are also presented measurement results of light transmission and backscattering in the analyzed range of temperatures, i.e. 20 to 60°C with the use of Turbiscan Lab., Formulaction. The stability indicator is the turbiscan stability index (TSI).Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Badanie właściwości kompozytów mineralno-gruntowych w aspekcie ich wykorzystania(2008) Stryczek, Stanisław; Gonet, Andrzej; Rzyczniak, Mirosław; Czekaj, LucynaThe results to research over usefulness the mineral and native soil mixtures with addition of drilling wastes and organic admixtures arc presented. In oil mining drilling waste is an essential by-product, that is generated as a result of drilling boreholes (explorative and exploitive). These by-products consist of hydrated, organic-mineral structures, which possess tixotropic properties. Their composition depends on drilled rock layers as well as on the organic and non-organic components of the drilling mud. Management of drilling waste, which is highly saline ( it should be noted that in recent years the amount of such waste increased rapidly) creates serious hazards to natural environment. Therefore, it is indispensible that such waste should be utilized according to strict environmental standards. In this article the authors present laboratory research pertaining to the possibility of salt release (Na+, K+, Ca+2, Mg+2, Cl-, HCO3) as well as the impact of additional material (fly ash and slaked lime)on the desalination of drilling waste.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Ocena właściwości fizyko-mechanicznych produktów uzyskanych w procesach odzysku materiałowego z odpadów wiertniczych(Data obrony: 2010-02-25) Kordos, Łukasz

The investigations were carried out as a part of a project on methods of drilling waste processing and managing. In the course of the analyses, the following parameters were determined: natural humidity, swelling humidity, swelling indices, degrees of swelling, mineral-chemical--organic ground mixtures. The trends of changes of swelling indices, depending on the composition of the mixtures, were also determined.Item type:Patent, Access status: Open Access , Płuczka skrobiowa do wykonywania odwiertu studziennego opis patentowy patentu tymczasowego nr 110739(Urząd Patentowy PRL, 1981-09-30) Wilk, Stanisław; Bereś, Janusz; Stryczek, Stanisław; Bielewicz, Danuta; Kraj, Łucja; Czekaj, Lucyna; Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. This kind of waste is obtained from filtration process lead on processed drilling fluids, in the cellular filter press. As a result of lead tests, granulometric composition of tested ground, some basic and secondary physical features (water (moisture) content, bulk density, liquid limit, plastic limit, plastic index, liquidity index, consistency index), swelling sensibility (swelling curve, swelling coefficient, swelling index, swelling water content) and compressibility (consolidation curve, compressibility curve, edometric compressibility modules). There were defined filtration features (filtration coefficients, filtration curve) and shear strength of soil (shear strength curve, angle of shearing resistance, cohesion). Tests results were presented as charts and tables. Characteristic of the filtered processed drilling fluid waste/filter cakes was based on the achieved results.Item type:Patent, Access status: Open Access , Sposób destabilizacji tiksotropowych układów mineralno-organicznych opis patentowy nr 189805(Urząd Patentowy Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej, 2005-09-30) Fijał, Jerzy; Czekaj, Lucyna; Gonet, Andrzej; Stryczek, Stanisław; Macuda, Jan; Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. The studies were part of works conducted on methods of managing drilling mud waste in the place of their production. The analyse ground-soil mixtures were characterized by determining values of their edometric modulus of primary compressibility and primary compressibility curves. The results of analyses were listed in Tables, accounting for the recipes for individual samples and edometric values of primary compressibility modulus, depending on unit loads.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wpływ odpadów wiertniczych na wybrane fizykochemiczne właściwości gruntu spoistego(2005) Czekaj, Lucyna; Fijał, Jerzy; Grzywnowicz, Ireneusz; Jamrozik, AleksandraThe problem of drilling waste salinity is discussed in the paper. The soluble components from soil environment were analysed for their ability to liberate. Attention is also paid to buffer and yield properties of the ground containing drilling waste. The analyses show that washable salts increase the alkalinity and coherence of the soil-and-ground environment. The salinity level of soil and ground with drilling waste admixture requires draining of this anthropogenic system followed by a suitable agro- and phytoremediation.
