Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Ilościowa charakterystyka parametrów petrofizycznych ropo- i gazonośnych litofacji fliszowych w profilach wierceń wschodniej części polskich Karpat(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Czopek, Barbara; Szczygieł, Monika; Baran, UrszulaThe aim of the paper is to present results of application of the Schlumberger's Interactive Petrophysics software to interpretation of petrophysical parameters of flysch rocks in 16 well sections located in the eastern Outer Carpathians, within the area of outcrops of the Skole and Silesian nappes. Values of the parameters (thickness, clay content, porosity, hydrocarbon saturation) of sandstone packages in particular well sections were compiled in tables according to their lithostratigraphic status and then compared to results of laboratory determinations included in documentation of wells drilled by the Polish Oil and Gas Company, South Branch in Jasło. Characteristics of variability in these parameters are illustrated by printouts of interpretation results for selected sections and by histograms of distribution of the clay content and porosity for the Krosno, Menilite and Inoceramian lithofacies in the Skole series, as well as for the Krosno (and Transition) and Menilite Beds in the Silesian series. Clay content lower than 33.3% and porosity higher than 3.5% were accepted as the criterion of distinction of sandstone horizons.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Interpretacja ilościowa profilowań geofizyki otworowej w przypadku niskiej jakości profilowań i ograniczonego zakresu metodycznego pomiarów(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2011) Czopek, Barbara; Nowak, JózefThis paper presents a causal analysis of the most common errors occurring during recording and preliminary processing of well logs on both archival as well as current data obtained with Halliburton tools. The authors discuss the ways to identify and to correct these errors, under specific conditions. They present graphic examples of recording errors and the effects of their elimination. Examples of applying corrected standardized logs in petrophysical quantitative analysis involving determination of mineral composition, porosity and water saturation are provided by the authors. It is their opinion that the results of such analysis make it possible to generate reliable synthetic (theoretical) logs of density and interval transit time, which are useful input data in solving various geological problems related to hydrocarbon exploration, production and storage, to geothermal energy sources and many other issues.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Modele statyczne złoża ropy naftowej i gazu ziemnego Grabownica(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2011) Papiernik, Bartosz; Zwoliński, Paweł; Czopek, BarbaraUsing archival data from mapping, stratigraphy from 40 wells and resistivity and spontaneous potential logs, as well as porosity and clay content curves, the authors constructed structural-parametric models of the Grabownica Fold. On this basis, a discrete »pseudo-facies model« was developed. The modeling was exemplified by the 3D model that images the western closure of the fold. Some methodological aspects of the modeling and the reliability of results were discussed.
