Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , A Raman spectroscopic study of hydroxyl analogues of pyromorphite-mimetite solid solutions(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2014) Giera, Alicja; Manecki, Maciej; Kwaśniak-Kominek, Monika; Marchlewski, Tomasz; Borkiewicz, Olaf; Rakovan, John FrancisPyromorphite $Pb_{10}(PO_{4})_{6}Cl_{2}$ and mimetite $Pb_{10}(AsO_{4})_{6}Cl_{2}$, minerals belonging to apatite group, receive increased attention recently. Induced precipitation of pyromorphite and mimetite in soil pore solutions or waste solutions belongs to the best remediation and reclamation methods (Ma et al. 1995, Maniecki et al. 2009).Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Arsenate substitution in lead hydroxyl apatites: Rietveld refinements and Raman spectroscopic study(Data obrony: 2014-09-24) Giera, Alicja
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThis paper focuses on hydroxyl analogues of pyromorphite-mimetite solid solutions, the phases belonging to the apatite supergroup. The aim of the study was their detailed structural analysis and examination of spectroscopic features in regard to the arsenate substitution in lead hydroxyl apatites. Seven synthetic powders were analyzed with the use of synchrotron-based X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM-EDS). The structure Rietveld refinements revealed systematic changes of the unit-cell parameters with the isomorphic substitution of phosphates by arsenates. The lowering of hexagonal crystal symmetry to the symmetry of monoclinic crystal system was detected in phases from the OH-analogues of pyromorphite-mimetite series for the first time. The position and intensity of bands on Raman spectra as well as their assignment to the vibrational modes were determined. The linear correlation of the positions of selected bands with the arsenic content was established.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Geochemical mapping in the area of L’ubietová, Slovak Republic(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2012) Giera, AlicjaL’ubietová is a village in the Banska Bystrica Region in the Slovak Republic. There is an old mining spot in its vicinity, where copper was extracted from the Bronze Age to the 19th century. Currently, the region is interesting by mineral collectors due to a p that can be found there, called libethenite. According to the literature (Kod?ra 1990, Ďud'a & Pauliš 2002) there are two areas of copper mineralization near L’ubietová, which differ in the occurrence of copper compounds formed with arsenic and phosphorus.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Kartowanie geochemiczne w rejonie Ľubietovej, Słowacja(Data obrony: 2013-01-22) Giera, Alicja
Moniki Miszteli. Badania składu mineralnego wykonano metodą dyfraktometrii rentgenowskiej w Laboratorium Geotechnicznym Wydziału Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony Środowiska AGH.
