    Geotechniczne badania powierzchniowych ruchów masowych na przykładzie osuwiska w Targanicach

    The paper presents results of tests of shallow landslide which was caused by the extreme rainfall in August of 2005 on the slope of Beskid Mały, in Targanice near Andrychów. The identification of sliding mechanism and slope stability estimation on the basis of geotechnical parameters of soils were the aim of the research. In the frame of site investigation, land levelling measurements were carried out and open pits were made from which soil samples to the laboratory tests were taken out. In the frame of laboratory works, the basic geotechnical parameters of soils from coluvium and stable part of slope were determined, but the main stress were put on determination of the shearing strength parameters. Moreover, shear strength parameters were calculated using back-analysis method. On the basis of shear strength parameters slope stability was calculated.
