    The PhD thesis presents the application of the basis spline function in the parameter identification method and state reconstruction of linear continuous system for adaptive self-tuning control. For the approximation of the unmeasured derivative of the measured input/output system's signal, B-spline functions were used. Additionally, basis spline function was applied to construction of the modulating function by convolution method used for parameters estimation of the continuous-time system. The optimal parameters of the system are calculated as eigenvector associated with the minimal eigenvalueof the Gram matrix. This method simultaneously reconstructs unmeasured state of the system witch will be used for adaptive stabilizing controller.
