    The main investigative objective was to present algorithms which might have applications in the assessment of hydrocarbon deposits, applying volumetric and mass - balance approach. Both volumetric and mass balance methods are multipurpose and they were applied independently of each other. This concern was exemplified by petroleum gas deposit Pruchnik - Pantalowice, which have direct connection with autochthonous miocene deposits of the Fore - Carpathian depression. Theoretical solutions emerging from the research were used to estimate petroleum gas deposits in Pruchnik - Pantalowice. The work demonstrate and compares its efficiency of natural resources content. According to procedure of resources calculation we also achieved analysis of resources accuracy of estimation for individual method.
