Wydział Metali NieżelaznychScientific literature focused on plastic deformation mechanism of ultrafinegrained and nanometric size materials, doesn't consider materials that can be characterized as a hybrid structure materials (structure composed of several size fractions of components). That lack of sufficient knowledge about deformation process of hybrid materials causes difficulties in conscious, tailored utilization of that kind of materials in everyday engineering practice. Subject of PhD desideration was mechanism of plastic deformation of hybrid structure material $AlSi_{26}Ni_{8}$ produced via plastic consolidation of rapidly solidified metal powders. In order to analyze that phenomenon broad range of mechanical test in various temperatures and velocities of deformation were performed together with analysis of deformation topography picture using reference markers via SEM and metallographic observations. Results of the experiments were combined with TEM observations and extensive literature investigations. As a final effect, unconventional mechanism of plastic deformation was proposed and described for analyzed materials.
