    The subject of this diploma project is an interpretation of the results of the surface geochemical research made in Witowo-Solec area in the light of the newest geological and seismic survey. The aim of the diploma project is an evaluation of the relations between the surface geochemical survey conducted in 1996 and geological deposit subsurface model which has been specified during the last several years. Surface geochemical survey has been conducted in free–gas method. The method involves analysis of the dynamic gases migration, which presence can be detected in soil gases. Conducted analysis enabled to assume that most of the geochemical anomalies were related to the numerous gas deposits in rotliegend sandstones. Integrated results of the surface geochemical survey and seismic research have enabled to select 6 perspective zones. The diploma project was written in Fossil Fuels Department of the University of Science and Technology in Kraków, under guidance of Ph.D. Henryk Sechman. Materials obtained during training in PGNiG in Piła were used in this diploma project.
