This problem is connected with the Kyoto Protocol regulations and limits of greenhouse gases emission. This article shows the costs of two technologies of carbon combustion for electricity generation: Pulverized Coal (PC) combustion and Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) combustion. Some economical aspects to the geological sequestration are also mentioned.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Analiza kosztów wykonania otworów geotermalnych w Karpatach z uwzględnieniem ryzyk techniczno – technologicznych w warunkach wysokich ciśnień i temperatur (HPHT)(Data obrony: 2010-11-19) Twardowski, Paweł

The water samples were collected from streams and ponds or directly from surface tanks situated in the vicinity of operating wells. The observed values of different parameters like pH, odor, color, turbidity, electroconductivity, concentration of sulfate, chloride, nitrate, iron, calcium, magnesium, ammonium, alkanity, dissolved oxygen or petroleum contamination of samples were compared with standard values recommended by the WHO (World Health Organization) and the relevant Polish Regulation. Preliminary studies show that investigated surface waters are slightly affected by anthropogenic pollution. The main two sources of contamination of water from the study area are agriculture and mining industry.Item type:Doctoral Dissertation, Access status: Open Access , Badania przesunięcia elektrycznego w wybranych modelach płynów złożowych i skał(2003-11-17) (Data obrony: 2007) Krochmal, Janusz Kazimierz
Wydział Wiertnictwa, Nafty i GazuAn attempt was made at using spectrometer measurements of phase angle ranging between 50Hz and 5MHz. The results were obtained at a research stand with a Japanese measuring equipment HIOKI type 3532 for measuring impedance and its components. Its characteristic feature is the binary shaping of sinusoid voltage. The polarization parameter was proposed to be measured in a strongly polarized environment, value of phase angle $\varphi$ observed between impedance Z and resistance R, defined as phase displacement, i.e. time displacement of electrical signal – electric displacement – related with the inertia of electric charge rotation for a given frequency of electric field. This is a polarization angle. Oil from the refinery Trzebinia, diesel oil, unleaded oil and water distilled 4 times at different $NaCl$ concentration is the basic part of the work about fluids. The issue of uncertainty was worked experimentally. The loose rocks: quartz sand, drilling sand, river sand and clayey rocks, e.g. Bulgarian bentonite, Bentopol and drilling clay were used for modeling. A number of conclusions on the applicability could be drawn, creating bases for patent applications.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Badania teoretyczne i laboratoryjne sorpcji triazyny w ośrodku porowatym(2007) Stopa, Jerzy; Rychlicki, Stanisław; Such, PiotrSulfate Reducing Bacteria (SRB) create considerable problems in oil fields and natural gas storages. Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is their metabolic by-product, which linking with iron ions forms FexSy sediments. The results of research works carried out in co-operation with the Institute of Oil and Gas as well as Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas AGH-UST in Cracow are discussed in the paper. Laboratory experiments were based on the reservoir core material of one of the underground gas storages in Poland. Original experimental and interpretation methodics was presented. The sorption ability of rocks depending on the concentration of active components (sym-triazine) in the solution was determined. On this basis the dependence of injected biocide and the biocide concentration in the rock could be established.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Charakterystyka niekonwencjonalnych złóż ropy naftowej(Data obrony: 2013-09-10) Jędrzejczyk, Arletta

Wydział Wiertnictwa, Nafty i GazuItem type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Directions of development of Polish gas and oil(2016) Rychlicki, Stanisław; Stopa, JerzyPeriod of 2000–2015 in exploration and production of hydrocarbons was not the most successful. The last major discovery of new reservoirs took place in the second half of 20th century and first half of 21st century, when the reservoirs of Kościan, Brońsko, BMB and LMG were discovered. Unfortunatelly, following years did not develop these significant discoveries. We can wonder if it was connected with the lack of exploration strategy, problems with financing or less availibility of discovering new reservoirs. The article presents the state of research both conventional unconventional hydrocarbon deposits and their directions of future research in Poland.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Dobór technologii zagospodarowania odpadów przy produkcji ropy naftowej(Data obrony: 2016-10-07) Rybka, Piotr

Wydział Wiertnictwa, Nafty i GazuItem type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Enhanced oil recovery processes in sandstone reservoirs containing light oil in offshore fields(2014) Przybyłowicz, Joanna; Rychlicki, StanisławEnhanced oil recovery methods can significantly increase recovery from offshore oil reservoirs provided that the appropriate method is selected. Enhanced oil recovery methods aim to recover the remaining original oil in place by applying additional energy sources and minimalize flow resistance in the field. The application of these technologies results in enhancement, or replacement of natural or physical processes of displacement and modifies the composition and physical properties of formation fluids. The use of EOR technologies in offshore environment is limited compared to onshore fields. Constraints imposed by the offshore environment are associated with technical difficulties as well as economic risk. Before choosing the most appropriate EOR method for particular environmental conditions the restrictions associated with: large well spacing, disposal geological description as well as availability and cost of EOR agents, weight and space constrains or high capital cost requirements should be considered. Reservoir lithology is limiting the applicability of specific EOR methods. This paper presents a comprehensive review of EOR projects which are appropriate or possible for sandstone reservoirs containing light-oil in offshore field. The possibilities and limitations of selected methods are introduced.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Gaz ziemny na świecie, w Europie i w Polsce : zasoby, handel, dywersyfikacja(2006) Rychlicki, Stanisław; Siemek, JakubIn the paper are presented the actual situation in natural gas trade and gas reserves. Also are shown the prognosis in gas industry in different world's regions. Else it the authors indicate the direction of gas supply diversification to Poland. The utilization of natural gas and coal in the electric power station is also presented.
