    In the thesis the opportunity of seismic methods application (refraction method, MASW) in order to determine the physical parameters and seismic boundaries in the medium has been introduced. The relationships between seismic velocities, physical parameters and geotechnical classifications have been showed. The thesis discusses the higher effectiveness of the use of seismic methods in comparison to traditional geological surveys. It is based on the data obtained from the measurements carried out in the Rudniki cement mill area.
