    Wykorzystanie metod jądrowych w badaniach transportu hydraulicznego fazy stałej w rurociągu pionowym

    Dissertation arise from researches conducted in Agriculture University in Wrocław. This investigation concerned transportation of manganese nodules from the bottom of ocean by hydraulic installation. Work focused in continuous control of transportation process, hence aim of dissertation was: arrange out of control by sealed gamma radiation sources (absorption method). Apart of investigation in hydraulic installation, a calibration set was constructed in Sedimentology Laboratory in Departments of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental Protection, TU-AGH in Kraków. Results of the experiments were processed by the cross-correlation and the convolution methods to calculate velocity of individual phases. Calibration curve and derived relationship to cross section, cubic concentration (CVP) of concrete particals, were applied to solid phase flow ratę (QS) and liquid phase (QL). In conseąuence values of CVP, QS,QL allow application of absorption method to continuous control of solid phase hydrotransport.
