    The paper presents a description of the industrial waste management in the Pilkington Poland glassworks in Sandomierz. First part discusses the national and international legal regulations concerning waste. Next part define concept of waste and any rules of waste management. Then describes the company, including manufacturing processes that result in the generation of waste. Generated waste was divided into hazardous or non-hazardous. Each of the waste was a thorough analysis of the quantity produced per year, origination sources, a further storage and handling. Also proposed new solutions to more optimal and economically justified development. The result is a detailed description of waste generating in the glass industry, which has led to the formulation of conclusions.

    Celem pracy jest konstrukcja założeń, będących podstawą do stworzenia w pełni funkcjonalnej strategii rozwoju dzielnicy Nowa Huta. Założenia mają służyć określeniu priorytetowych celów rozwoju, a także przygotowaniu i wdrażaniu konkretnych działań prowadzących do usunięcia zjawisk kryzysowych oraz możliwości samodzielnego funkcjonowania podmiotu w strukturze miasta.
