Precise determination of perspective demand for energy minerals underlies the power policy of Poland. A number of factors influencing the development of power situation in changing economic conditions causes that prediction concerning energy carries is very difficult and burdened with high degree of uncertainty. To rationally take decisions concerning energy carriers it is crucial to know the trends in power demands in over ten years' perspective. The prognoses made in the last years are listed and preliminarily analysed for the differences in the projected need for energy by the year 2025.

Restrukturyzacja i prywatyzacja polskiego sektora gazowniczego w obliczu jego liberalizacji

This paper presents an analysis of transformations in gas sector under current EU regulations, Polish law and government programs accepted for implementation since 1996, when after the transformation of state-owned enterprise PGNiG the joint stock company Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo (PGNiG) S. A. fully owned by state, has been established. The paper contains analysis of subsequent restructuring programs including organizational transformation and privatization. It also refers to EU legal acts and amended Energy Laws Act. The paper attempts to evaluate the transformations implemented as a result of government programs and laws.

Uregulowania prawne i organizacyjne dotyczące zasady TPA (Third Part Access) w sektorze gazowniczym na przykładzie Polski i Wielkiej Brytanii

This paper presents the legal and organization analysis of TPA (Third Part Access) in the gas distributing business in the Polish market. There is described the situation of introduction of TPA in the Polish gas market and there is also included an analysis of British gas market. In the article there is a description of changes demanded from European Union to be put in action in the Polish gas sector, especially included the transfer and distribution. There is included the regulations of creating gas tariffs in liberated gas market. The paper also shows the possibilities of apostasy of TPA regulated by gas directive. There is presented practical site of introduction of TPA in the Polish gas market taking into consideration investments in process of eliminating barriers. This article also presents experiences of function of liberated British gas market. This market can be an example of possible changes, which can also happen in Polish gas sector in introduction of TPA. The changes can affect: - clients behaviour, - offer of gas companies, - level of prices, - structure of market players, - PGNiG's politics.
