Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Assessment of the possibility of enzymatic decomposition of cellulose blockers(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Turkiewicz, Anna; Kapusta, PiotrThe article discusses two series of the biodegradation tests of organic blockers used in drilling mud technology. Degradation process of the selected cellulose blockers in terms of quality was assessed by the colorimetric method. In all test solutions these tests revealed the presence of free glucose which is the final product of degradation of modified cellulose from which blockers were made. The beginning of the degradation process was noted already after 48 hours of the impact of enzymatic preparations on samples of blockers. The progress of the degradation process after 30 and 40 days of incubation was assessed by gravimetric method by draining sludge and marking blocker dry matter after enzymatic impact, comparing the sludge matter in samples with the specified enzyme to control samples without the addition of the enzyme. The research described in the work may be useful in the oil industry as they contain data (from laboratory-scale tests) on potential treatments with the use of enzymatic preparations. Detailed data on the degree of degradation of individual enzymatic preparations is included in the tables.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Biocide testing for the application in the oil and gas industry(2015) Turkiewicz, Anna; Brzeszcz, Joanna; Witek, Wiesław; Kapusta, PiotrThe paper discusses tests for effectiveness of three antibacterial substances for application in the national oil and gas industry. The substances were tested with reference to active cultures of microorganisms. These cultures were isolated, inter alia, from drilling fluids, produced waters and extraction sludge, and then multiplied and used in tests discussed in this publication. The tests demonstrated differences in particular tested substances in respect of effectiveness of their impact on aerobic and anaerobic bacteria and fungi. The results of the work will be used in industrial treatments in order to eliminate biogenic contamination, counteract biodegradation of drilling muds, and also for disinfection of reservoirs designed for storing water and other technological fluids.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Laboratory tests for the application of nitrate-based inhibitor against H₂S formation(2017) Turkiewicz, Anna; Falkowicz, Sławomir; Kapusta, PiotrThis article discusses two series of the efficiency tests of nitrate-based inhibitor in the contaminated media. Nitrate-based treatments are the new methods of biogenic hydrogen sulfide elimination in the reservoir conditions. The first series concerned the tests of the contaminated medium, i.e. the mixture of formation water and sulfate-reducing bacteria suspension. The second series included the results of tests on natural formation water (without additional microbiological contamination). Moreover, a series of tests was performed in order to evaluate the influence of the tested material on reservoir rock samples represented by sandstone. The results of tests were presented in the form of tables and the formulated conclusions may be in the future useful for the oil and gas industry.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Modelowanie procesu biodegradacji węglowodorów ropopochodnych w zastarzałych odpadach wiertniczych z dołów urobkowych(2008) Steliga, Teresa; Kapusta, Piotr; Jakubowicz, Piotr; Turkiewicz, AnnaThe aim of this article is to present the problem of drilling wastes purification on the example of a several waste pits, which are characterised by hydrocarbons contaminants different contents. While preparing the complex technology of soil purification (containing primary recultivation, basic bioremediation and inoculation with biologicals based on indigenous microorganisms and fungi), the laboratory tests done with the use of the ex-situ method are fundamental.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Optymalizacja biodegradacji in situ odpadów wiertniczych zanieczyszczonych substancjami ropopochodnymi(2006) Steliga, Teresa; Kapusta, Piotr; Turkiewicz, Anna; Jakubowicz, PiotrThe article presents problems of purification of wastes in old reservoir pits containing drilling mud mixed with soil, which is contaminated by petroleum compounds - as a model object reservoir pit Graby-10 was used. Optimisation works of using soil purification complex technology (including preliminary re-cultivation, basic bioremediation and bioaugmentation done by inoculation of biologicals based on autochtonous microorganisms) were discussed. Parameters of purification process were modified due to characteristic of cleaned object. The transfer of laboratory ex site tests of soil purification process to industry in site conditions creates many problems. In spite of, laboratory data was the base to determine parameters of purifying process, which were used in an in site technique. Moreover, laboratory tests enable to study drilling waste purifying process, to calculate a biogenic substances dose, a time of the process and effectiveness of a biological work. Each step of petroleum-contaminated soil purification process was controlled by the chromatographic method. This method enables to determine the quality and quantity of hydrocarbon compounds in soil. This analytical method is used for observation of decrease in every single hydrocarbon pollutant quantity in purification process and valuation of a hydrocarbon biological degradation level by n-C17/Pr and n-C18/F ratios.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The role of biocides and H2S scavengers in exploitation of hydrocarbon reservoirs and laboratory tests in the field of hydrogen sulfide scavenging(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2019) Turkiewicz, Anna; Brzeszcz, JoannaW artykule przedstawiono problematykę zanieczyszczenia mikrobiologicznego mediów (płynów) złożowych oraz omówiono rolę biocydów stosowanych w celu kontroli i przeciwdziałania niepożądanym procesom biogennym. Wymieniono rodzaje substancji czynnych używanych w produktach biobójczych, polecanych do stosowania w przemyśle naftowym. Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Zastosowanie biocydów w celu ograniczenia rozwoju flory bakteryjnej w PMG(2007) Such, Piotr; Turkiewicz, Anna; Kapusta, Piotr; Stopa, Jerzy; Rychlicki, StanisławThe technology of injecting biocides has been used in the Underground Gas Storage in Wierzchowice for years. This was a response to the presence of biogenic hydrogen sulphide in the stored gas, caused by the metabolic activity of Sulfate Reducing Bacteria (SRB). The authors presented studies oriented to the use of biocides for limiting the development of bacteriae in the UGS in Wierzchowice.
