The core is the highest quality part of material documentation of the well. Based on technical equipment used for coring, and based on a chosen coring technology, we can get mechanically undamaged core (or in physically unaffected condition). There is still question-mark over its existence. The goal of Nabucco gas pipeline is to bring Caspian gas on EU markets and pass by Russian territory. In the second phase pipeline from Iran will be attached to it. Gas pipeline will start in Turkish town Erzurum and will route across Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary to Austria where it will be attached to Baumgarten.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Russia is a major player in world energy markets(2007) Pinka, Ján; Sidorová, Marina; Vizi, Ladislav; Wittenberger, GabrielThe Russian Federation is a major player in world energy markets. It has more proven natural gas reserves than any other country and is among the top ten countries in proven oil reserves. It is the world's largest exporter of natural gas, the second largest oil producer and exporter, and the third largest energy consumer. But Russia may be „number one” in oil production and get ahead of Saudi Arabia. Over 70 percent of Russian crude oil production is sent directly abroad for export, while the remaining 30 percent is refined locally. Russia's oil exports are sent via the multiple-branch Druzhba pipeline to Belarus, Ukraine, Germany, Poland, and other destinations in Central and Eastern Europe (including Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic). The remaining crude oil exports are sent to maritime ports in the Black Sea and Baltic Sea and are sold on world markets.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Utilization of geothermal energy for electric power(2007) Pinka, Ján; Sidorová, Marina; Vizi, Ladislav; Wittenberger, GabrielThe geothermal energy is gaining more and more attention today. The geothermal energy is an energy derived from the heat of the earth's core. It is clean, abundant, and reliable. If properly developed, it can offer a renewable and sustainable energy source. There are three primary applications of geothermal energy: electricity generation, direct using of heat, and ground-source heat pumps. The results of geological research put Slovakia to the regions with the high geothermal potential. The project for the geothermal energy utilization in the area of east Slovakian Neogen is coming in to the phase of production tests these days. The article is also focused on the descriptions of every phase of geothermal water utilization.
