They may leak from broken or untight industrial installations used for separating and storing formation fluids, drying and regeneration of glycol as well as drying of natural gas and then to penetrate the environment. The results of analyses of the quality of ground environment within the technological installation of the Paproć Group System are presented in the paper. Samples for environmental analyses were taken in the close vicinity of main technological installations. The obtained results of chemical analyses of soil and ground samples were compared with the quality standards for grounds and silos for industrial areas.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Badania klimatu akustycznego w rejonie prowadzonych prac sejsmicznych(2008) Macuda, Jan; Zawisza, LudwikThe results of measurements of acoustic climate in the area of seismic measurements carried out with the vibration and detonation methods are presented in the paper. The measured values of noise emitted during measurements were a basis for assessing their environmental impact. Hydrodynamic classification of oil basins is based on the effects differentiating the liquid phase, especially the movement of reservoir fluids. Definition of this type of hydrodynamic basin lies in determining its development stage at present: before, during or after the invasion of infiltration waters. Bearing in mind data of reservoir pressures distribution, directions and flow rates of groundwaters, as well as properties of reservoir fluids, three main types of sedimentary basins have been distinguished: juvenile (centrifugal), transient (centripetal) and mature (static). Physical phenomena and interrelations taking place between accumulated hydrocarbons and the accompanying reservoir waters and pressures predestine the first type as most perspective; the third type is usually eliminated as non-perspective. The recent practice in Poland and in other countries is to inject reservoir waters to the rock mass through pre-selected post-production wells. The evaluation criteria for absorptive of layers in view of their injection abilities are presented in the paper along with theoretical fundamentals of the injection process. KEYWORDS: absorptive layers, hydrogeological parameters, reservoir waters, injection.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Modelowanie procesu migracji i akumulacji węglowodorów w basenie naftowym rowu lubelskiego(2006) Zawisza, LudwikAnalysis of pressure and water chemistry data from the Devonian and Carboniferous formations of the Lublin Basin indicates that two regional fluid flow systems are operating within this basin. The Devonian basin is the juvenile basin with compaction-induced centrifugal, lateral water movement (before invasion by meteoric waters), and may be classified as prospective. The Carboniferous basin is an intermediate basin with centripetal water movement, artesian properties and invasion of meteoric water. In this paper author presents the hydrodynamic modeling of hydrocarbon migration and accumulation in the Lublin Basin, Poland. Such contamination may be caused by leakages in the existing industrial systems, used for natural gas treatment, separation of reservoir fluids as well as drying and glycol regeneration systems. The results of analyses of the qualitative state of ground within the technological system of two Collective Centers Radlin I and Radlin II are presented in the paper. The samples for environmental analyses were collected in the immediate vicinity of the main elements of natural gas treatment systems. The obtained results of chemical analyses of ground samples were compared with the quality standards for ground in industrial areas. An efficient method of protecting ground environment against contamination in the case of a failure of the industrial system.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Ocena szczelności struktur geologicznych przeznaczonych do składowania odpadów płynnych w górotworze(2006) Zawisza, Ludwik; Macuda, JanThe changes of rock mass tightness near deep geological structure where liquid waste has been stored may be caused by changes in the medium itself, owing to the on-going exploitation of underground waste storage. The tightness of the strata onlying the underground waste storage is checked with geophysical, hydrodynamic, hydrochemical-hydrodynamic, geochemical and drilling methods. The Authors characterize liquid waste storability, indicating the scope and type of analyses for determining the possibility of liquid waste storage in specific geological structures.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Ocena zagrożenia gazami kopalnianymi na terenie likwidowanej kopalni KWK "Niwka-Modrzejów"(2005) Zawisza, Ludwik; Macuda, Jan; Chećko, JarosławClosing of hard coal mines, especially stopping the process of mine's water pumping, results in a reconstruction of the Carboniferous water-bearing horizon, leading to the intensification of gas flux to the near-surface zone („piston effect”). Stopping the fans considerably enhances the movement of mine's gases towards the surface in closed mines. Stopping the fans results in accumulation of gases in workings and old workings. The surface method of geochemical mapping is especially useful for detecting methane and toxic gases migration from hard coal mines in the process of their closing. The results of geochemical analyses performed in the area of the hard coal mine „Niwka-Modrzejów” are presented in the paper. The obtained results and their comparison with the existing geological-reservoir model prove that intensification of mine's gases flow towards the surface continues through the zones of tectonic discontinuities, crackings, loosened zones in the Upper-Carboniferous sedimentary rocks.
