Calculations are made for the forces acting on the non-metallic particles in steel during the flow-out into the slag, depending on the particle radius and physicochemical properties of the liquid steel and slag. An analysis of the calculation results of capillary force acting on a particle in the vicinity of the steel-slag interface at changing surface energy values between the precipitates and slag shows that capillary force depends on the interfacial tension between the precipitates and slag only to a small degree.Item type:Book, Access status: Restricted , Rachunkowość finansowa : podstawy i ewidencje szczegółowe(CeDeWu, 2017) Sawicka, Joanna; Stronczek, Anna; Marcinkowska, Elżbieta; Surowiec, AnnaItem type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Dwadzieścia lat eksperymentu z lokalną partycypacją mniejszości romskiej w podhalańskiej gminie(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2017) Witkowski, Maciej; Nowicka, EwaThe text is a case study of the relationship between the initiation of activities defined in the Roma Government Integration Program as being aimed at increasing the participation of the Roma community in the social life of rural areas, and the real nature of relations between Roma and non-Roma. The article was devoted to the role of local government in implementing Roma integration strategies. We describe the situation of a Roma community belonging to the Bergitka Roma group. The main subject of analysis is the consequences of the »integration« measures taken by officials and local policymakers in contact with the inhabitants of the Roma settlement. From the perspective of local authorities, the current situation is defined as difficult. Its representatives try to avoid on one hand accusations of discrimination against ethnic minority communities on one hand, and of favouring the Roma on the other. Balancing the expectations of both sides, local authorities use solutions known as »participatory actions«.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Malacofauna of the Holocene tufa in the valley of the Ociemny Stream (Pieniny Mts., southern Poland)(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2017) Alexandrowicz, Witold PawełA rich molluscan fauna was found in the outcrop of slope sediments and calcareous tufas in the valley of the Ociemny Stream in the Pieniny Mts. The malacological sequence identified there represents the entire Holocene, but it contains several stratigraphical gaps. From this viewpoint, it is a unique finding within the area studied. In nine samples, 11,000 specimens of 71 species of molluscs were identified. The ecological and zoogeographical diversity of the composition and structure enabled the separation of three faunistic assemblages. The oldest assemblage (with Discus ruderatus) corresponds with the cold period of the Early Holocene and represents shadowed habitats overgrown with the coniferous forests of the taiga type. Its characteristic feature is the presence of glacial relics (e.g. Vertigo genesii and Vertigo geyeri). The other younger fauna (with Discus perspectivus) is typical of the humid and warm climate of the Atlantic Phase. It is characteristic of the habitats of mixed and deciduous forests. Numerous Balkan and Mediterranean thermophilous forms appear in this assemblage. The youngest malacoenosis (with Bithynella austriaca) is typical for the historical times. The particular intervals containing molluscan fauna are separated by gaps corresponding to the erosion phases. Because of the land relief in the valley of the Ociemny Stream, which is not conducive to the development of human economy, no marked anthropogenic deforestation occurs.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Non-factorizable C-valued functions induced by finite connected graphs(2017) Cho, IlwooIn this paper, we study factorizability of $C$-valued formal series at fixed vertices, called the graph zeta functions, induced by the reduced length on the graph groupoids of given finite connected directed graphs. The construction of such functions is motivated by that of Redei zeta functions. In particular, we are interested in (i) »non-factorizability« of such functions, and (ii) certain factorizable functions induced by non-factorizable functions. By constructing factorizable functions from our non-factorizable functions, we study relations between graph zeta functions and well-known number-theoretic objects, the Riemann zeta function and the Euler totient function.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Sedimentary petrology characteristics and their implications for provenance of Hoanh Bo Basin Neogene system in Quang Ninh province, north-eastern Vietnam(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2017) Tha, Hoang Van; Wysocka, Anna; Nguyẽ̂n, Quó̂c Cường; Pha, Phan Dong; Ziółkowski, PiotrThe Hoanh Bo Basin has developed over multiple periods since the Miocene period in association with the tectonic activity of the Chi Linh-Hon Gai and Trung Luong Faults. The basin is filled with Neogene continental sediments, comprising mainly polymictic conglomerates, sandstones, siltstones, claystones, and shales. Coarser-grained polymictic deposits predominate along the northern and western margins of the basin, whereas different types of siltstones, claystones, and sandstones occur in its centre, as well as along its southern and eastern parts, toward the Ha Long Bay. The conglomerates and sandstones are composed mainly of quartz and sedimentary rock fragments, and a small amount of mica. Cement is mainly built of iron-oxide, clay or carbonate mud. The source area for the Hoanh Bo Basin sediments was located in the close vicinity of the basin. It was built of strongly weathered rocks of the Hon Gai, Ha Coi, Cat Ba Formations.Item type:Book, Access status: Restricted , Podstawy konstrukcji maszyn. Geomechanical properties, including bulk density, Young modulus, Poisson ratio, unconfined compressive strength, durability index, and swelling index were examined in dry rock samples, and in water-soaked samples after 3 hours of soaking, and 6 hours of soaking respectively. Changes in the geomechanical properties of rocks were also examined as a function of their mineralogical composition. In particular, the properties of rocks were examined in relation to present aluminosilicates and layered aluminosilicates, respectively. Changes in the geomechanical properties were also examined relative to the presence of minerals anatase and siderite. Correlation coefficients between physical parameters and mineral composition were examined. It was determined that the total quantity of aluminosilcates is a better predictor of geomechanical properties after soaking, than only the content of layered aluminosilicates. Calculated correlation coefficients were generally higher for most samples after 6 hours of soaking than after 3 hours of soaking. It was also determined that the increase of bulk density correlates much better with the mineral anatase content, than with the siderite content.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Etching method to create random speckle pattern on semi-solid cast A356 aluminium for DIC in-situ strain measurement(2017) Sergolle, Maëlle; Santos, Jorge; Kasvayee, Keivan Amiri; Jarfors, Anders Eric WollmarAluminum semi-solid casting is constantly evolving, as it offers a combination of reduced shrinkage porosity and gas entrapment defects together with high productivity and an extended die-life. The relationship between the microstructure and stress-strain behavior is not well-understood due to its non-conventional microstructure. In-situ tensile testing, combined with optical microscope and Digital Image Correlation (DIC), has been used for local strain distribution measuements in cast irons. The critical capability was an etching technique to generate a micro-scale random speckle pattern with a sufficiently high speckle density to enable the sufficient spatial resolution of displacement and strain. The current paper focuses on the development of a pit etching procedure for the semi-solid cast A356 aluminum alloy to study local strain accommodation on the microstructure during tensile loading. The critical challenge of this procedure was the generation of homogeneously distributed pits on both the primary aluminum and eutectic regions. Therefore, a heated solution used for wet-etch aluminum in microfabrication was modified as well as a process adapted to generate pits with suitable characteristics. In-situ tensile tests were performed attached to an optical microscope to record the microstructure and displacements during loading. DIC software was used for analysis. The procedure was validated through a comparison between the resulting Young´s moduls using standard tensile testing and the DIC process on the speckle pattern generated. A good fit between the two methods for Young´s modulus was found. The spatial resolution obtained was, however, not sufficient to fully resolve the strain gradients in the microstructure, but it did reveal large strain variations in the microstructure.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The development of a sensor system for monitoring the displacement of horizontal laterals in Radial Drilling Technology(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2017) Ziaja, Jan; Movčan, Vasil'Radial drilling technology was developed by Rad Tech international inc., an American company set up by Henk Jelsma, its permanent head and the technology patent holder. First introduced in the Americas, radial drilling technology acquired wide recognition in the USA and Colombia and later found applications in Canada, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile and the Middle East. In general, this technology is aimed at extending and improving drainage areas in productive formations. Other applications of radial drilling include the creation of specifically directed injection channels and exploration activities. Performance testing of these short radius laterals has not been adequately studied and significant questions remain about how well these technologies can deliver on their promises. The main objective of the paper is to sum up previous experience in developing a system for monitoring the displacement of horizontal laterals and wells, and examining a prospective new technology which can increase the efficiency of radial drilling.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Partycypacja obywateli w rządzeniu. In addition, the paper describes problems related to the functioning of Polish self-governments, whose broader description can be found in the articles collected in this volume.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Procedure of building and analysis of the information database of the resistance of existing bridge structures to mining tremors(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2017) Rusek, JanuszMining tremors are one of the manifestations of negative impacts of the mining industry on the environment. In order to protect building structures against the damaging effects of ground vibrations, it is required that their dynamic resistance be determined. This problem is of particular importance for the existing bridge structures that were not designed for the potential occurrence of mining tremors. This paper presents the assumptions of and a method for acquiring data on the dynamic resistance of existing bridge structures located in mining areas as a result of numerical calculations using the Finite Element Method (FEM). Object resistance was described by the limit values of the acceleration of ground vibrations in the vertical and horizontal planes that can be carried by the existing structure without compromising safety. Taking into account the geometrical and material diversity, 3,000 numerical models of reinforced concrete overpasses were created. Then, for each object, numerical calculations using the FEM were performed, which resulted in the determination of permissible values of the acceleration of ground vibrations defi ning their dynamic resistance. The created database was subjected to a preliminary analysis in order to detect linear relationships binding the data that describe the geometry and material properties of individual structures with their dynamic resistance to the impact of mining tremors. As a result of these studies, variables were selected that formed the basis for creating a multiple linear regression model (MLR). Analysis of the obtained results allowed us to assess the possibilities of using linear models to determine the dynamic resistance of bridge structures subjected to mining tremors.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Semicircular elements induced by p-adic number fields(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2017) Cho, Ilwoo; Jørgensen, Palle E.T.In this paper, we study semicircular-like elements, and semicircular elements induced by $p$-adic analysis, for each prime $p$. Starting from a $p$-adic number field $\mathbb{Q}_{p}$, we construct a Banach $∗$-algebra $\mathfrak{LS}_{p}$, for a fixed prime $p$, and show the generating elements $Q_{p,j}$ of $\mathfrak{LS}_{p}$ form weighted-semicircular elements, and the corresponding scalar-multiples $\Theta_{p,j}$ of $Q_{p,j}$ become semicircular elements, for all $j\in\mathbb{Z}$. The main result of this paper is the very construction of suitable linear functionals $\tau_{p,j}^{0}$ on $\mathfrak{LS}_{p}$, making $Q_{p,j}$ be weighted-semicircular, for all $j\in\mathbb{Z}$.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Principles of IT security in light of new regulations(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2017) Leks, ZenonIn many places, the new regulations on the detailed requirements of underground mining operations introduced by the Minister of Energy on November 23, 2016, obligate the head of a coal mine to specify the detailed rules of implementation of the recommendations contained therein. This article is a review of the available IT security solutions recommended by the author for the technical implementation of the protection of SCADA systems. The solutions described here may be adopted as IT security regulations in coal mines.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , A comparison of accuracy between point clouds from convergent images and spherical panoramas(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2017) Szlapińska, Sylwia; Tokarczyk, ReginaThe work includes the results of a comparison of point clouds made on the basis of convergent images and spherical panoramas from the photos taken in the same center of projection. The results were compared for the group of convergent photos and panoramas in relation to accuracy, cloud density and measurement economics. The research was carried out on the test fi eld inside a large building. The convergent photos and panoramas were taken using the Canon EOS 5D camera. The robotic camera mount GIGA PAN Epic Pro was used to make panoramas. For calculations and building models the Agisoft PhotoScan application was selected, as it has a function of automatic orientation and adjusting photos. The comparison of point cloud accuracy, from which the control point coordinates were taken, has shown that the accuracy of the model made from the photos was 19 mm, and the accuracy of panorama model was 73 mm. As the worse result of panorama cloud accuracy may be caused by much lower density, the eff ect on their accuracy was also checked by making an analytical determination of control point coordinates at the stage of photo and panorama orientation. The analysis has proven that the model made of convergent photos is more accurate (20 mm) than the model made of panoramas (36 mm).Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Określenie założeń modelu matematycznego pracy sekcji obudowy zmechanizowanej w zakresie jej podporności roboczej(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2017) Herezy, Łukasz; Korzeniowski, Waldemar; Skrzypkowski, KrzysztofW artykule posłużono się zgromadzonymi danymi dotyczącymi pracy kompleksu ścianowego, aby wyznaczyć wpływ czasu, wytrzymałości skał stropowych na ściskanie, postępu ściany, odległości stropnicy sekcji od ociosu na wartość osiąganej podporności roboczej. Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Exploring relative instances of exposure in equilibrium of migration processes based on population characteristics(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2017) Pitlik, László; Kollár, Péter|Fülöp, Zsolt|Madarász, ImreCybernetic states of law try to plan each activity - especially migration issues. The planning process has the following question originating in socio-cybernetics in its core: Where can it be assumed that the population characteristics are higher/lower than rational? The planning levels can be different: from the continent or country levels via statistic regions or micro-regions to settlements (even at the street and house levels). Parallel to the aggregation like population density (or annual growth rate), models can also be developed for arbitrary layers of demographical statistics, like the required ratio of males and females in different age-groups and/or education categories, etc. The models can analyze time-periods (e.g., years, time intervals) to ensure that dynamic processes will not actually be covered through static evaluation. The necessary data asset (a kind of Big Data) is given by OECD/ EUROSTAT, for example The questions and data assets are well-known. The modeling methodology consists of potential know-how: through estimations of staircase functions in the framework of online similarity analyses, regional norm values can be derived for targeted population characteristics. Therefore, the European strategy concerning the integration of massive volumes of migrants can be supported in an objective way. Analogue analyses with the same methodology have already been derived for parts of Germany and Hungary. Similarity analysis is an artificial intelligence-based approach with its own consistence-oriented quality assurance layers. The data-driven policy creation needs methodologies where objectivity is provided through optimization in the modeling based on arbitrary phenomena. The modeling philosophy should try to ensure a kind of regional multi-layered equilibrium (sustainability, cf. Kazohinia). The outlined methodology can be seen as a sort of automated SWOT analysis where each conclusion will be derived from the raw statistics in a direct way - without the risk of human subjectivity intervening in the process. The modeling spectrum consists of three levels: (1) Explorative modeling is able to derive basic characteristics for ceteris paribus perspectives through the complex functions. The standard analytical potential works with ceteris paribus parameters, based on the appropriate literature sources. (2) Antidiscriminative modeling is capable of deriving ranks for objects without an actual learning pattern, for the so-called production functions. (3) A cybernetic state of law should be able to have robot-planning values supporting human decision processes. Therefore, 'freedom of press' is basically the capability to explore and publish objective force fields and not to catalyze the spread of subjective evaluations.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Zjawiska elektryczne w kościach jako efekt piezoelektryczności hydroksyapatytu(2017) Pawlikowski, MaciejConducted biomineralogical studies indicate piezoelectric properties of apatite, which is one of the major components of bone. This publication presents hypothetical correlations between piezoelectric properties of bone apatite and the accompanying electromagnetic phenomena in bones and their environment. It notes the correlations between electrical properties of bones and changes in the electromagnetic field around bones, as well as connections between external pressure changes etc. and electrical phenomena in the bones.
