Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Entering parcel boundaries into the Polish register of land and buildings - an analysis of the current state and proposed changes(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Maślanka, JózefThe Polish register of land and buildings (EGiB), also known as the real estate cadastre, is of both a technical and declarative nature, which means that the data resulting from special technical, formal and legal procedures should be precisely entered into the EGiB database and then made available to users without distortions or deficiencies. The subject of this research paper is the analysis of formal, legal and technical problems that occur in the process of entering data on the boundaries of cadastral parcels into EGiB. Based on the legal provisions, subject literature, as well as real cases derived from surveying practice, the author performs a descriptive formal and comparative analysis of cur‑rent legal and technical solutions used to enter boundaries of cadastral parcels into the EGiB database. As a result of these analyses, the author has concluded that the existing legal solutions allow neither full and precise entering of parcel boundaries nor providing users with correct data resulting from the performed surveys and legal works. Defects, difficulties and barriers faced when entering boundary data into the register can lead to the distortion of the relevant information, and thus to the decreased reliability of EGiB. The author's proposal is to introduce into the application schema the concept of the boundary segment, together with appropriate attributes defining the structure of the cadastral database. This would allow the elimination of many existing problems and provide EGiB users with reliable and complete information.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Motywacje noszenia odzieży patriotycznej przez młodych Polaków i Polki(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Baran, Jowita SaraThis article presents the results of qualitative research, which the main purpose was to cognize the motivation of wearing patriotic clothing by young Poles, both men and women. The author search for an answer to the question: why patriotic clothing users choose these special clothes. Meaning of clothes that respondents attribute to these special clothing was also present. In the analytical part respondent's motivations of wearing clothes have been recognized as an indicator of hot or cold nationalism in the understanding of Michael Billing's banal nationalism theory. Further, the theoretical basis is the theory of late modernity by Anthony Giddens and description of globalization processes.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , A note on attractivity for the intersection of two discontinuity manifolds(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Difonzo, Fabio V.In piecewise smooth dynamical systems, a co-dimension 2 discontinuity manifold can be attractive either through partial sliding or by spiraling. In this work we prove that both attractivity regimes can be analyzed by means of the moments solution, a spiraling bifurcation parameter and a novel attractivity parameter, which changes sign when attractivity switches from sliding to spiraling attractivity or vice-versa. We also study what happens at what we call attractivity transition points, showing that the spiraling bifurcation parameter is always zero at those points.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Extraction of scores and average from Algerian high-school degree transcripts(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Kefali, Abderrahmane; Drabsia, Soumia; Sari, Toufik; Chaoui, Mohammed; Ferkous, ChokriA system for extracting scores and the average from Algerian high school degree transcripts is proposed. The system extracts the scores and average based on the localization of tables gathering this information, it consists of several stages. After preprocessing, the system locates the tables using ruling-line information as well as other text information. Therefore, the adopted localization approach can work even in the absence of certain ruling lines or the erasure and discontinuity of the lines. After this, the localized tables are segmented into columns and the columns into information cells. Finally, cell labeling is done based on prior knowledge of the table structure, allowing us to identify the scores and the average. Experiments have been conducted on a local dataset in order to evaluate the performances of our system and compare it to three public systems at three levels, the obtained results show the effectiveness of our system.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , #Islam #Muzułmanka – analiza sposobów wykorzystania mediów społecznościowych jako głosu niesłyszanych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Stojkow, MariaThe purpose of the article is to analyse Muslim groups in social media in terms of the functions they play in the lives of Muslims, especially the Muslim women living in Poland. The Muslim community is not significant in Poland, so interpersonal contacts in real life may be difficult. Muslims, especially Muslim women experience oppression and discrimination in everyday life, so the Internet can be a place where they will seek understanding and support as well as a way to solve their own problems. There are potentially many areas where the Internet, and especially social media will support Muslim women. To discover them, the contents of selected Facebook groups targeted at Muslims and Muslim women will be analysed.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Option pricing formulas under a change of numèraire(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Attalienti, Antonio; Bufalo, MicheleWe present some formulations of the Cox-Ross-Rubinstein and Black-Scholes formulas for European options obtained through a suitable change of measure, which corresponds to a change of numèraire for the underlying price process. Among other consequences, a closed formula for the price of an European call option at each node of the multi-period binomial tree is achieved, too. Some of the results contained herein, though comparable with analogous ones appearing elsewhere in the financial literature, provide however a supplementary widening and deepening in view of useful applications in the more challenging framework of incomplete markets. This last issue, having the present paper as a preparatory material, will be treated extensively in a forthcoming paper.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Variation of lignite ash in vertical and horizontal sections of mining walls in the Konin Lignite Mine, central Poland(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Chomiak, LiliannaThis paper focuses on the variations of lignite ash along selected sections and mining walls from three lignite opencast mines in central Poland. They are owned by the Konin Lignite Mine, where the first Mid-Polish lignite seam is being mined to produce electricity. Ash content in lignite is important because ash lowers the calorific value of the lignite. The results obtained are based on 266 samples of lignite collected from the Drzewce, Tomisławice, and Jóźwin IIB opencasts. All samples were tested according to ISO 1171 standard procedures, that is, they were first burned at a temperature of 850°C, then the ash content was determined on a dry basis (A$^{d}$), before the basic statistical parameters were calculated. The studied lignite seam is characterised by a variable distribution pattern of ash both along selected vertical sections and lignite walls, as well as between the three opencasts. The ash content of individual samples ranged from 6.5 to 69.8 wt%, while the average content in opencast mines varied from 9.7 to 17.6 wt%. The coefficient of variation is large (80.23–96.33%) in the case of the Drzewce and Tomisławice, and low to average (14.53–37.75%) in the case of Jóźwin IIB. Significant ash enrichment of some beds is interpreted in this article as a consequence of floods occurring in a Mid-Miocene mire (backswamp), but also of chemical precipitation. When lignite is burned to generate electricity, a relatively large amount of ash is produced. Therefore, recognition of ash content in lignite, in addition to the chemical composition and phase of ash, is recommended to better protect the environment. At the first stage of protection, it can be best achieved by analysing field samples for ash content.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Innovative solutions in the products of SAG Sp. z o.o. This is the only Polish location where three taxa of these ophiuroids have been found in one stratigraphic horizon (1$^{st}$ Wellenkalk). To date, only single taxa have been found in the Triassic sections of the eastern part of the Germanic Basin. Finally, other ophiuroid mass aggregations also known from Poland are presented.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Application of GIS tools to describe the location of new registered parcels(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Basista, IzabelaThe article presents the possibility of using GIS (Geographic Information System) in the scope of the elaboration of calls for participants in land consolidation (LC). It shows the tools and the way they are used, as well as the possibility of automating this process. In the process of land consolidation and exchange, when the LC project is developed, calls for LC participants are prepared. Usually these documents are done manually by referring to the nearest plots of state before LC. The information given in the notification is, among others, the distance and direction in which the new plot is located away from the nearest plot of the old state. Using the GIS system, a tool has been developed that automatically shows information about the designation, direction and distance of parcel nearest to the input parcels and indicates selected nearest parcels on the map. The results were checked, and the tools used were assessed for their suitability for this type of task. In conclusion, specifying the distance and direction alone, especially at large distances, may be not accurate enough. However, the ability to automatically indicate the nearest plots before LC in relation to the newly designed plot is extremely valuable and significantly accelerates LC work.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Identity and the sense of subjectivity in parents of children with intellectual disability in the context of family life destabilization(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Niedbalski, JakubThe lives of families who take care of people with disabilities are full of unexpected events, unwanted situations, and difficulties that accumulate at every step. Therefore, bearing in mind the purpose of this paper, I focused on determining those conditions which are a source of destabilization in the lives of families with intellectually disabled children. I try to reconstruct the sources of threats to the sense of subjectivity and the shaping of the identity of parents who have children with disabilities. The theoretical framework of the analysis is symbolic interactionism. The research material used in the presented article is composed of personal experiences of parents of disabled individuals, and unstructured interviews were performed with these people. Analysis of the research material was performed in accordance with the procedures of grounded theory methodology.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Existence and decay of finite energy solutions for semilinear dissipative wave equations in time-dependent domains(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Nakao, MitsuhiroWe consider the initial-boundary value problem for semilinear dissipative wave equations in noncylindrical domain $\bigcup_{0\leq t \lt\infty} \Omega(t)\times\{t\} \subset \mathbb{R}^N\times \mathbb{R}$. We are interested in finite energy solution. We derive an exponential decay of the energy in the case $\Omega(t)$ is bounded in $\mathbb{R}^N$ and the estimate $\int\limits_0^{\infty} E(t)dt \leq C(E(0),\|u(0)\|)\lt \infty$ in the case $\Omega(t)$ is unbounded. Existence and uniqueness of finite energy solution are also proved.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Postawy polskich użytkowników internetu wobec nadzoru obecnego w sieci(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Juza, MartaIn last few years collecting personal data by internet is largely discussed social problem. This internet surveillance is carried out by public or commercial organizations. In contrast to older, panoptic type of surveillance the new, digital one does not have to be carried out covertly. Surveilled persons know about surveillance, do not fear of it, and want to be surveilled. I conducted research about internet surveillance in 2017 and 2019. It has shown users’ tendency to reveal great amount of information about themselves. Their level of fear of surveillance is getting smaller, and their level of hope of some favors from surveillance increases. The fact of being surveilled in some fashion make users feel better. The research conclusion is that internet users accept surveillance but they expect some benefits in exchange for their data which is profitable for surveillers.Item type:Book, Access status: Restricted , Serwonapędy SIEMENS w praktyce inżynierskiej(Wydawnictwo BTC, 2020) Kwaśniewski, Janusz; Dominik, Ireneusz; Lalik, Krzysztof; Kozek, MateuszItem type:Movie, Access status: Metadata only , Institutional development strategies for blended learning(2020) Hustinx, Wouter

The different seismic signatures of these geological forms, the small scale of amplitude variation, and the large amount of data make the process of geological interpretation extremely time consuming. Moreover, the dispersed nature of information in a large block of seismic data increasingly requires automatic, self-learning cognitive processes. Recent developments with Machine Learning have added new capabilities to seismic interpretation, especially to multi-attribute seismic analysis. Each case requires a proper selection of attributes. In this paper, the Grey Level Co-occurrence Matrix method is presented and its two texture attributes: <i>Energy</i> and <i>Entropy</i>. Haralick's two texture parameters were applied to an advanced interpretation of the interval of Miocene deposits in order to discover the subtle geological features hidden between the seismic traces. As a result, a submarine-slope channel system was delineated leading to the discovery of unknown earlier relationships between gas boreholes and the geological environment. The Miocene deposits filling the Carpathian Foredeep, due to their lithological and facies diversity, provide excellent conditions for testing and implementing Machine Learning techniques. The presented texture attributes are the desired input components for self-learning systems for seismic facies classification.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Low interest rates - a real threat to German banks or first-class whining?!(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Hastenteufel, Jessica; Fuchs, LenaThe current phase of low interest rates poses major challenges for banks. A continuous decline in the interest result, which is so important for the profitability of banks, has been observed for years, as it is becoming increasingly difficult for banks to generate sufficient income from the interest margin. This is partly due to the European Central Bank's expansive monetary policy. However, other factors, such as advancing digitization, also play a role here. The structure of the German banking market and the mostly strong focus of German banks on interest-bearing business are also increasingly becoming a problem. Still, the question arises, whether the current phase of low interest rates is actually a serious threat to banks or whether they are complaining at a high level.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , A note on confidence intervals for deblurred images(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Biel, Michał; Szkutnik, ZbigniewWe consider pointwise asymptotic confidence intervals for images that are blurred and observed in additive white noise. This amounts to solving a stochastic inverse problem with a convolution operator. Under suitably modified assumptions, we fill some apparent gaps in the proofs published in [N. Bissantz, M. Birke, Asymptotic normality and confidence intervals for inverse regression models with convolution-type operators, J. Multivariate Anal. 100 (2009), 2364-2375]. In particular, this leads to modified bootstrap confidence intervals with much better finite-sample behaviour than the original ones, the validity of which is, in our opinion, questionable. Some simulation results that support our claims and illustrate the behaviour of the confidence intervals are also presented.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Determination of stress state based on well logging data and laboratory easurements - a CBM well in the southeastern part of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin (Poland)(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Kępiński, MichałThe main objective of this study is to present calculation methods of horizontal stress profiles, taking into account the stress boundaries model, poro-elastic horizontal strain model and the effective stress ratio approach, using calibration with wellbore failure. The mechanical earth model (MEM) parameters from log measurements and well testing data were estimated for a well located in the southeastern part of the Upper Silesian Coal Basin. Log-derived horizontal stresses of the well are commonly treated as the final product of geomechanical modeling in oil and gas practices. A less popular method for estimating horizontal stresses is based on Kirsch equations juxtaposed with compressional and tensile failure observed on a micro-imager or six-arm caliper. Using this approach, horizontal stresses are determined based on the fact that when hoop stresses exceed the formation’s tensile strength, tensile fractures are created, and when those stresses exceed the compressive strength of the formation, breakouts can be identified. The advantage of this method is that it can be run without in situ stress measurements. The presented workflow is recommended every time there is an image log and dipole sonic measurement in the available dataset, both being necessary to observe the failure zones and MEM.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , An evaluation of combustion kinetics for the synthesis reaction of the reinforcing phase during casting(AGH University of Science and Technology Press, 2020) Wiktor, Tomasz; Sobula, Sebastian; Burbelko, Andriy A.; Ptasznik, MichałThe computer modeling of the solidification process in castings with local composite reinforcement (LCR) obtained as a result of in situ reactions of self-propagating high temperature synthesis (SHS) is difficult due to limited data on the thermo-physical parameters of exothermic effects and the kinetics of the synthesis reaction. In the present study, Hadfield cast steel casting was manufactured with LCR containing titanium carbide particles obtained in situ by the SHS method. Reaction kinetics of titanium carbide synthesis in the composite casting were determined on the basis of temperature measurements in the area of LCR during the process. For the estimation of the reaction, the Fourier Thermal Analysis method was used. The paper presents the results of temperature measurement and the results of the calculation of SHS reaction kinetics. It was found that the reaction time under the conditions of the analyzed casting is below 3 s.
