    This work presents influence of human activity on various constituents of the natural environment in the region of Boleslaw caused mainly by zinc-lead industry and break stone mining working for many years in this region. The paper includes information about the sources of the environmental changes, as well as their elimination and environmental protection in the region of Olkusz. The work presents also environmental changes locations marked on the region map. The study was supplemented with general information about the region, including its morphology, geology, tectonics, hydrogeology and mining locations.
