Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaCelem pracy magisterskiej jest przedstawienie stałości składu chemicznego wody leczniczej ze źródła „Jan” w Krynicy – Zdrój. Analizie statystycznej poddane zostały dane analiz fizykochemicznych określające wartości mineralizacji, jonów głównych oraz stężenia $CO_{2}$ w źródłach „Jan A”, „Jan B”, „Jan C”. Woda lecznicza „Jan” jest wodą typu szczawa o mineralizacji $0,6 g/dm^{3}$ i zawartości rozpuszczonego $CO_{2}$ wynoszącej $1,3 g/dm^{3}$, wykorzystywaną w balneoterapii do kuracji pitnych. W celu określenia stałości składu chemicznego wykonane zostały karty kontrolne pojedynczych obserwacji. Po dokonaniu interpretacji wyników, można stwierdzić że większość składników chemicznych charakteryzuje się stabilnością w czasie, wyjątkiem jest stężenie rozpuszczonego $CO_{2}$ w ujęciu „Jan C”.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Analysis and selection of CO₂ sources for CCS-EOR projects in oil fields clusters in Poland(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Mikołajczak, Edyta; Kosowski, Piotr; Stopa, Jerzy; Wartak, JoannaArticle contains a detailed analysis and a preliminary selection of potential CO? emitters that can supply gas for CCS-EOR projects in oil fields clusters in Poland. The idea of $CO_2$ injection into clusters arises from the fact that oil reservoirs in Poland are relatively small, but very often located close together. Reservoirs grouping significantly increases the potential storage capacity and improves economic indicators. In addition, CCS-EOR projects combine $CO_2$ storage (CCS) with an increase in production from mature oil fields (EOR). The analysis was performed using a database of carbon dioxide emitters in Poland created by the National Centre for Emissions Management. This database contains a list of all registered $CO_2$ producers with annual emissions exceeding 1 Mg. On this basis, potential $CO_2$ sources for previously selected four clusters of oil reservoirs were chosen.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Application of pipelines made with Thermoflex® technology for natural gas and carbon dioxide transportation(2013) Włodek, Tomasz; Ławski, ŁukaszThe main issue related to pipeline transportation of hydrocarbons (natural gas, oil) and chemical substances (e.g. carbon dioxide) is to get the best transportation efficiency, taking into account economic and technological aspects. The paper presents the possibility of using pipelines made with the Thermoflex® technology for the transportation of natural gas and carbon dioxide. Pipelines made with this technology can be used for transportation of natural gas from wellsites to natural gas mines installations. Thermoflex pipeline time of instalation is shorter compared to steel pipeline, this issue has great significance in the perspective of future exploitation of natural gas from unconventional reservoirs in Poland. Pipes made using this technology with new polymeric materials are characterized by much lower pressure drop along the pipeline compared to the steel pipelines, much higher maximum operating pressure range compared to polyethylene pipes, better thermal insulation compared to steel, high corrosion resistance and lower installation and operating costs. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe project being the basis of the thesis was made entirely in Iceland during a student exchange at the last semester of the master program. In cooperation with the Blue La goon spa (BL) has been selected (among many available methods) the best way of purification $H_{2}S$ from geothermal gas from HS Orka . Then was created the on - site installation , at the BL Research and Development Center, allowing filtration of the gas and the measurement of efficiency in the real conditions . Removal of $H_{2}S$ helps to avoid corr osion of the other elements, through which the gas flows, and allows to obtain a practically uncontaminated $CO_{2}$ (which is being used in the algae bioreactor ) . Wydział Energetyki i PaliwItem type:Article, Access status: Open Access , New low-cost method for determination of heating value of natural gas(2011) Karpaš, Oleg Mihajlovič; Karpaš, Maksim Olegovič; Ribìc'kij, Ìgor Volodimirovič; Darvaj, Irina ÂroslavìvnaNew method for heating value determination has been proposed earlier which lays in simultaneous measurement of carbon dioxide and nitrogen concentrations and speed of sound in natural gas and use of neural network utilized for calculation of heating value. Based on reference data bases application of the method allowed to achieve relative error of 2.6% for heating value determination. Afterwards additional investigation has been made aimed to exclude nitrogen concentration measurement, which also gave good accuracy of heating value determination. Special experimental setup has been developed for experimental verification of the method. Experimental setup included commercial ultrasonic device for speed of sound measurement, special carbon dioxide concentration meter, relative humidity and temperature measuring units. Numerous experiments were completed using the setup with subsequent natural gas chromatographic analysis. The basie conditions in which carbon dioxide will be transported, as well as the thermodynamic conditions, physicochemical properties and technical parameters, relevant to $CO_2$ pipeline transport, are addressed in this article. The basie costs of pipeline carbon dioxide transport are also considered. The carbon dioxide flow was simulated for a few pipeline diameter sizes to determine the operating pressure of the pipeline for various maximum mass flow rate values. Different conditions of $CO_2$ flow including impact of ambient conditions were analyzed.
