    Okruszcowanie stref utlenionych w wybranej części obszaru górniczego Polkowice-Sieroszowice

    In this study the ore mineralization occurring in the redox geochemical barrier in the Sieroszowice Mine has been described. The copper mine Sieroszowice is located in the Fore-Sudetic Monocline. All samples have been collected within the area characterized with red spots observed in the all lithological units. Results of chemical analyses for Au, Pt and Cu showed that this area is characterized by higher content of precious metals and they are related with the top part of sandstone and the bottom of the shale. During detailed microscopic study native gold, electrum, digenite, covellite, chalcopyrite, chalcocite, clausthalite, bornite, sphalerite and pyrite have been identified. This assemblage confirmed previous geological records. Microprobe analyses confirmed also presence of the native gold, electrum with high admixtures of mercury and Ag-Au-Se, Cu-Se minerals. All study allowed to define a range of oxidized zone in selected part of Sieroszowice mining area.
