Wydział Wiertnictwa, Nafty i GazuItem type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Analysis and selection of CO₂ sources for CCS-EOR projects in oil fields clusters in Poland(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Mikołajczak, Edyta; Kosowski, Piotr; Stopa, Jerzy; Wartak, JoannaArticle contains a detailed analysis and a preliminary selection of potential CO? emitters that can supply gas for CCS-EOR projects in oil fields clusters in Poland. The idea of $CO_2$ injection into clusters arises from the fact that oil reservoirs in Poland are relatively small, but very often located close together. Reservoirs grouping significantly increases the potential storage capacity and improves economic indicators. In addition, CCS-EOR projects combine $CO_2$ storage (CCS) with an increase in production from mature oil fields (EOR). The analysis was performed using a database of carbon dioxide emitters in Poland created by the National Centre for Emissions Management. This database contains a list of all registered $CO_2$ producers with annual emissions exceeding 1 Mg. On this basis, potential $CO_2$ sources for previously selected four clusters of oil reservoirs were chosen.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Analysis and selection of CO₂ sources for CCS-EOR projects in oil fields clusters in Poland(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2017) Mikołajczak, Edyta; Kosowski, Piotr; Stopa, Jerzy; Wartak, JoannaArticle contains detailed analysis and preliminary selection of potential $CO_{2}$ emitters, who could be suppliers of gas for CCS-EOR projects in oil fields clusters in Poland. The increased interest in their use was in the 70's of the twentieth century, and associated with the increase in oil prices. Currently for several years there has been a return to the these methods, including offshore fields. Experience in the application of EOR methods in Poland is small, currently no exploitation is carried out using them. The purpose of this article is to present the current trends and latest technologies in enhanced oil recovery methods in terms of the applicability by the Polish oil companies. Statistical data of current and planned EOR methods in the world with special emphasis on offshore reservoirs is presented. Current trends in technological development of EOR methods are given, both which are still in the phase of laboratory tests and the first tests on fields such as: carbon dioxide flooding, water alternating gas injection, low salinity water injection, carbonated water injection, conventional technologies of polymer gels and thermally activated polymers.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Możliwości rewitalizacji złóż ropy naftowej(2008) Rychlicki, Stanisław; Stopa, Jerzy; Wojnarowski, PawełThe development of such new EOR technologies as VAPEX or LTO and the increasing pressure on reducing anthropogenic CO2 creates favorable conditions for increased interest in EOR methods accompanied by CO2 sequestration also in Poland. The spectacular development of multilateral well technology significantly increasing recovery rates and enabling management of small reservoir is of special interest. One of the newest EOR methods, i.e. the SAGD is process described in this paper. This technology links the EOR method with multilateral well technology is applicable for gravity production reservoirs.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Overview of the nanoparticles application for reservoir engineering and Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) methods(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Kulinič, Vitalij; Pikłowska, Anna; Kulìnič, Oleg AnatolìjovičThe scientific aim of the paper is the characteristics of various types of nanoparticles, their physical and chemical parameters. In the article authors give examples of various nanoparticles used in reservoir engineering and EOR methods. The results of laboratory measurements of the impact of nanoparticles on the change of reservoir parameters and the increase of oil recovery of sandstones and carbonates are presented. In the article have been shown the possibilities of using nanotechnology, including the achievements of different authors. It presents a general literature review of modern research methodologies of nanoparticles in the global oil industry.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Social acceptance for CO₂-EOR and CCS projects based on survey conducted in southeastern Poland(2015) Rychlicki, Stanisław; Kosowski, Piotr; Wartak, Joanna; Solecki, MarekThis paper presents the results of a survey on the public acceptance of $CO_{2}$-EOR and CCS methods. The survey has been conducted in southeastern Poland, on a sample of people living in the Carpathian region (Krosno, Jedlicze, Rymanów). Existing local reservoirs are taken into account of the possibility of enhanced oil recovery by injecting carbon dioxide. A survey has been done within the MUSE project to determine the impact of oil on the surrounding environment and the level of knowledge, perception and acceptance of CCS and $CO_{2}$-EOR methods. As appeared from the survey, public acceptance development of the oil industry in Poland is quite positive. Respondents recognize the need to use modern technologies such as $CO_{2}$-EOR and CCS to fulfill this task. A significant number of respondents show limited awareness (or lack of it) regarding these technologies. Public acceptance largely depends on the level of knowledge regarding the technology. One of the main directions of work undertaken prior to the implementation of industrial installations using technologies of $CO_{2}$-EOR and CCS should be gaining the acceptance of the local community.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The influence of wettability on oil recovery(2015) Kulinič, VitalijUnderstanding the mechanism by which oil is displaced from the porous medium requires knowledge about the role of wetting and capillary forces during EOR. Knowledge of the effect of wettability on oil production is also a key point for understanding the behavior of multiphase flows in the reservoir. A literature review indicates that wettability is one of the main factors controlling and regulating the distribution of oil and water in the reservoir rock. Therefore, the resolution of problems associated with the calculation of oil resources, operation and analysis of core deposits, must take into account the wettability of rock. Therefore, the study of such phenomena as wettability is still valid today. In the paper reservoir rock wettability and its types were described. Direct and indirect methods of determining the wettability were characterized, the graph of capillary pressure is used to characterize the wettability. In order to determine the effect of wettability on multiphase flow in porous media are discussed petrophysical parameters: capillary pressure, relative permeability and hydrocarbon saturation of the rock. Characterized wettability of each of the porous medium of carbonate and sandstone reservoirs.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Wpływ obecności nanocząstek stosowanych w zabiegach EOR na stabilność emulsji wodno-ropnych(Data obrony: 2020-09-03) Paszkot, Agnieszka
