    The paper presents the chemical composition of water in “Bagry” artificial, postexploitation reservoir in Cracow. Field measurements were carried out at two points by probing the reservoir for direct analysis of physicochemical parameters of the water column. In addition, extra water samples for laboratory analysis were taken in the first point, to determine the chemical composition by the application of ICP AES and ICP MS methods. On the basis of the obtained data, the quality of the reservoir water and its chemical composition were assessed in accordance with the Polish and European Union law.
