Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Dystrybucja sytemu Linux dedykowana obliczeniom równoległym(Data obrony: 2011-06-10) Półchłopek, Radosław
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaMaster's thesis describe process of production compute cluster based on open source operating system as is Linux. Ready outcome is KVM virtual machine, which could be used to create high performance cluster using disk less node. To deploy this cluster is needed server with processor supporting virtualization and Linux x64 installed. It has to be connected with nodes in one LAN segment. Nodes are booting from main server over TCP/IP network using PXE so they Ethernet card has to support PXE technology. Deployed cluster uses MPICH2 library which is described by MPI standard. In cluster are used many protocols and services like Torque, DHCP, TFTP, DNS, NFS, LDAP.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Efficient simulations of large-scale convective heat transfer problems(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2021) Goik, Damian; Banaś, Krzysztof; Bielański, Jan Gustaw; Chłoń, KazimierzWe describe an approach for efficient solution of large-scale convective heat transfer problems that are formulated as coupled unsteady heat conduction and incompressible fluid-flow equations. The original problem is discretized over time using classical implicit methods, while stabilized finite elements are used for space discretization. The algorithm employed for the discretization of the fluid-flow problem uses Picard’s iterations to solve the arising nonlinear equations. Both problems (the heat transfer and Navier–Stokes equations) give rise to large sparse systems of linear equations. The systems are solved by using an iterative GMRES solver with suitable preconditioning. For the incompressible flow equations, we employ a special preconditioner that is based on an algebraic multigrid (AMG) technique. This paper presents algorithmic and implementation details of the solution procedure, which is suitably tuned – especially for ill-conditioned systems that arise from discretizations of incompressible Navier–Stokes equations. We describe a parallel implementation of the solver using MPI and elements from the PETSC library. The scalability of the solver is favorably compared with other methods, such as direct solvers and the standard GMRES method with ILU preconditioning.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Konfiguracja klastra obliczeniowego z wykorzystaniem MPI i PBS(Data obrony: 2017-01-31) Mach, Beata
Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Projekt i implementacja aplikacji monitorującej wiele interfejsów LTE należących do jednego terminala(Data obrony: 2020-01-20) Wietecha, Dawid

Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe main goal of the work is to create a parallel application to calculate a wave field estabilished in a 3D model and thus to visualize wave propagation in this model. The work consists of a parallel algorithm used for the calculations and Flash Actionscript 3.0 application which is to depict the results. Theoretical overview introduces basic terms which include: a parallel calculation, MPI library, Actionscript 3.0 and Flash Player program and which constitute rudiments of the following deliberations. The work comprises visualizations of wave propagation in the estabilished model and both the discussed results as well as drawn conclusions.
