    Charakterystyka mineralogiczno-gemmologiczna agatów z okolic Sidi Rahal (Maroko)

    The theme of this thesis is the characteristic of mineralogical-gemmological agates from the vicinity of Sidi Rahal, Morocco. Of the 13 specimens examined agates, two of them were selected for detailed study phase. The study was supplemented electron SEM mikrospaces chemical analysis (EDS) and the observations katodoluminescence (SEM-CL), to track changes to building the extraction of silica material in question agate nodules. This allowed to study the course of mineralization in the voids next to gas paleobazalts Sidi Rahal, sequence increasing zones, different generations of silica, a mineral character and degree of crystallinity of minerals from the group of SiO2. These agates are characterized by complex morphology diagram increasing zones. In addition to clear concentric rings of varying thickness, occurring near the contact with the rock surrounding the nodules in the inner part of the built-up area agate create the wealth of designs and patterns. In parts of the concrection, which directly interact with the surrounding rock, are present also inclusions of olivine, whereas in the central parts - quartz inclusions, and carbonate (calcite).
