    Presented thesis described issues for utilization of graphics processing units for highperformance image processing in remote sensing using CUDA. It discussed the theory about multispectral remote sensing images. The comparison of CPU and GPU in parallel computing is shown and CUDA architecture is presented. Then, a comparison between the processing speed of remote sensing images using the CPU and GPU, including the impact of selected configuration parameter values, used driver version and model of graphic card, is presented and discussed.
