Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaNuclear magnetic resonance measurements on rock samples provide important information on their pore structure. MRI evaluation of the received signals and the distribution of transverse relaxation constant T2 allows accurate recognition of the pore size and basic reservoir parameters, which include: irreducible water saturation, total porosity and effective porosity. The study was carried out for rocks from the Carpathian Foredeep - fourteen samples from the Cierpisz 2 borehole and nineteen samples from the Mrowla 1 borehole. The paper presents an analysis of the shape of the NMR curves, applied statistical grouping of data in a multidimensional cluster analysis and discussion of the results is also given. The results of the NMR measurements were also used to develop mathematical models to determine the permeability of the rocks, and then compared them with the results of laboratory tests of absolute permeability.
