    This work tackles the subject of assessing the degree of consolidation of cohesive soils selected in south-eastern Polish. In addition, compares the applicability of different methods for determining mentioned degree. The study included 35 soil samples from selected areas of research. The result of the study was to estimate the coefficients of OCR and preconsolidation stress. It has been proved that some of the selected methods of interpretation can not be applied to soils other than the dedicated.
