    A regional 2D seismic survey Obrzycko-Zabartowo was conducted earlier indicated an existence of a salt dome in the beginning of a line. This area is located in north-western part of Poland known for its salt tectonics connected with Zechstein salt layers. Based on part of the survey, a well located nearby and available geologic information a simplified 2D model of that area was designed in OMNI 3D Design software and interval velocities and densities were estimated. A series of analyses on model were performed. Next, with success, a simulations of 2D survey acquisitions with synthetic records were performed and processed in VISTA software to determine optimal parameters for surveying this area.

    Master of science thesis describes creating model 2D, Set up the 2D Ray Model, display this model, importing horizons, digitize horizon, trace rays, output SEG-Y, saving a velocity model in SEG-Y, creating shots and receivers. Also this thesis describes creating model 3D, set up bin grid, grid azimuth, creating simple horizons, conforming horizons, fault definition, ridge and domes definition. This thesis describes also VSP, far VSP and walkaway VSP.
