Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Ore mineralization of the northern part of Stan Terg deposit in Kosovo(Data obrony: 2018-09-07) Borawska, Adrianna
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe main aim of thesis was to describe the mineralization of the particular part of Stan Terg deposit in Kosovo. It was focused on description of the collected samples and analysis them microscopically and macroscopically to determine the mineralization of the observed part. Observations proved that deposit is characterized by lead and zinc minerals, but also silver and bismuth minerals occurrences. There were recognized two types of mineralization: skarn and hydrothermal. Skarn mineralization is particularly characterized by mainly pyrrhotite, galena and magnetite. Whereas hydrothermal mineralization is testified by occurrences of pyrite, chalcopyrite, arsenopyrite, sphalerite and boulangerite. Silver is seen mostly in minerals such as pyrargyrite, polybasite and also in tetrahedrite, less in miargyrite. While bismuth occurs in native bismuth and bismuthinite. On the basis of presented researches the thesis, northern part of the deposit is predicted to occurrence of Au–Ag epithermal mineralization. Mineralization is mainly low–temperature so that also mineral composition can change in dependence of the distance from solution of source.
