    Ore mineralization in the serpentinites in Bajgorë area, Kosovo

    Bajgorë area is located in the neighborhood of Stan Terg deposit in the North-East part of the Kosovo. Occurrences of $Ni$ and $Cr$ ore deposits within serpentinite rocks and $Pb-Zn$ secondary alteration zones in this region were considered. For this purpose twenty six samples were collected from eighteen different outcrops. They were investigated using transmitted and reflected light, XRD, SEM and EDS. Chromite minerals were identified within serpentinites. Listwanite rocks were found with traces of copper, tin, lead, zinc, and nickel. More advanced investigations are strongly advised in this area.
