    In July 2012 and April 2013, hydrogeological and sozological mapping were carried out in an area defined by the administrative boundaries of the Pleśna commune. Based on the data collected during this study and based on historical data and literature, the quantity and quality of groundwater utilizable aquifers were examined. The master thesis presents the geological structure and hydrogeological conditions of the area of research on the background of regional conditions. The springs and wells from, which water is drawn, were characterized. Particular attention was paid to the operating performance of springs and wells, chemical composition and water quality. The major sources of pollutions and their influence on water were indicated.
