    Royal Castle located in Niepołomice is the one of the most recognizable locations in the city. Different materials were used during its construction, including natural stone. Following types of stone can be fund: Istenbian sandstone, devonian limestones „dębnickie” and „bolechowickie”, jurassic limestones “morawickie” and tertiary limestones “pińczowskie”. Conducted research showed that used resources comes from foundries located across the country, distant from the castle location within short distance. Moreover, the condition of the stone was evaluated and it was concluded that it varies between different elements.
