Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Gotlandia – geoturystyczne atrakcje wyspy ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem skamieniałości węglanowych facji syluru(Data obrony: 2010-02-11) Zielińska, Anna Elżbieta
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe general geology of Gotland Island and presentation of the most geological valuable places are the main aims of this paper. Moreover, the popularization of the objects and geological localities included in the paper, is thought to be used in the touristic arrangement plan. Hence, Gotland Island has been divided into three regions with localities described and connected into geotouristic routes proposed by author. The description of the route includes information about geological processes, which created recent landscape and has detailed character. Those features classify the route as the route specialized in qualified tourism - geotourism. Author made a short description of the most famous and popular fossils, which are in the special interest not only amongst geology amateurs. This paper fulfills teaching and research role, because tourists can see and understand more.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Model dwuwymiarowy nasycenia węglowodorami utworów syluru w rejonie Lublina(Data obrony: 2013-11-06) Majerczak, Wiesław
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe petroleum analysis in terms of the hydrocarbon saturation within the Silurian strata of the Mazovia - Lublin Trough was made on the basis of geochemical analyse (Rock - Eval pyrolysis, extraction of bitumens and its fractions, vitrinite reflectance) and 2-D modelling. Geochemical analyse allowed to determine the hydrocarbon potential of the Silurian strata and determined of the source rocks complex in the Wenlock and Ludlow series. The source rocks were shown as homogeneus complex of thin source rocks layers within the Wenlock and Ludlow containing more than 0.5 wt.% TOC. The source rocks complex contain type II kerogen and averaged TOC equal to 0.8 wt.%. The hydrocarbon generation was determined by using algorithms in BasinMod software. The beginning of this process took place in the middle Devonian, and it ended in the late Carboniferous. Generated oil was partly craked into gas and both were expelled an accumulated within the Silurian shale. The character of the accumulation, lithology and lack of vertical migration allowed to classify the Silurian strata in the Lublin region as a potential field of shale gas and oil gas.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Ocena stopnia dojrzałości termicznej łupków sylurskich zdeponowanych w rejonie Barda(Data obrony: 2013-12-20) Talar, Agnieszka
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony Środowiska36 rock samples of Silurian age were collected in the Bardo and Prągowiec area (Holy Cross Mountains), which were then subjected to a comprehensive geochemical analysis. The Rock – Eval was performed to determine the content and composition of the group of bitumen and to conduct GC-MS analysis. The degree of thermal maturity rocks distribution was estimated from aliphatic compounds, aromatic and sulfur compounds from the GC-MS. On the basis of the biomarker indices, the thermal transformation degree was established indicating the „oil- window” phase. The high TOC content to 2.84 wt % shows to the presence of organic matter of marine origin ( type II kerogen ), with good hydrocarbon potential. The area has a complicated geological structure (numerous tectonic deformations), therefore the possibility of shale gas extraction is limited.
Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Phanerozoic paleoenvironment and paleolithofacies maps. Early Paleozoic(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Golonka, JanThe paper presents the detailed plate tectonic, paleogeographic, paleoenvironment and plaeolithofacies maps for eight Early Paleozoic time intervals. Forty maps, generated using PLATES and PALEOMAP programs, contain information about plate tectonics, paleoenvironment, and plaeolithofacies during Cambrian, Ordovician and Silurian. Disintegration of supercontinent Pannotia and origin of Gondwana, Laurentia and Baltica occur during Early Cambrian. Oceans spreading continued during Late Cambrian and Early Ordovician, vast platform flooded by shallow seas existed on the continents. The plate tectonic reorganization happened during Middle Ordovician. Silurian was a time of Caledonian orogeny, closing of Early Paleozoic oceans and origin of supercontinent Laurussia as a result of Laurentia and Baltica collision. Information contained within global and regional papers were posted on the maps and the detailed paleoenvironment and plaeolithofacies zones were distinguished within the platforms, basins and ridges.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Potencjał naftowy utworów paleozoicznych w rejonie Tarnowa(Data obrony: 2010-10-06) Borowiec, Monika
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe subject of my work is estimation of hydrocarbon potential of the Paleozoic rocks in Tarnów area. Paleozoic sediments was recognized in boreholes: Tarnów-19, Pilzno-40, Zawada-8k, Łęki Górne-3, Radlna-2, Łowczów-1 and Łowczów-2. 90 rocky samples were picked from boreholes mentioned above. After proper preparation they were put through geochemical research. The results of the investigation showed that it is Silurian sediment, which contains the most organic matter. This substance is of marine origin ( II type of kerogen). III type of kerogen dominate Devonian and Carbon sediments. All examined sediments came into an early phase of liquid hydrocarbons generation.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Potencjał węglowodorowy utworów syluru w rejonie Kielce – Opatów w aspekcie występowania gazu łupkowego(Data obrony: 2013-09-12) Modelski, Bartłomiej
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe Silurian strata in the Holy Cross Mountain were sampled in surface outcrops in the village of Bardo and Zbrza and Prągowiec Ravine and were subjected to geochemical studies: analyses of Rock-Eval pyrolysis, extraction of bitumen and kerogen elemental analysis. The results of Rock-Eval analyses indicate that the test rocks are characterized by a high content of oil-prone Type II kerogen and good hydrocarbon potential. Thermal maturity tested strata has been classified in the initial and middle phase of „oil-window”. The Silurian strata in the Kielce-Opatów area could be good potential collectors for shale gas and oil shale, however, geological structure of the area (many tectonic deformation) limits the possibilities conservation and exploration of unconventional gas.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Zastosowania elementów chemostratygrafii do korelacji łupków dolnopaleozoicznych w basenie lubelskim(Data obrony: 2016-05-09) Hebda, Kamil
Wzbogacenie to odzwierciedla zapewne nieco bardziej proksymalne położenie otworu Berejów względem dróg rozprowadzania materiału klastycznego z orogenu kaledońskiego. Wartości węgla organicznego wynoszą średnio w otworze Berejów OU-1 1,1%, a otworze Syczyn OU-1 0,85%. W obydwóch otworach podwyższone zawartości TOC występują w mułowcach dolnego syluru: w otworze Berejów OU-1 w wenloku i landowerze, a w otworze Syczyn OU-1 w wenloku. Zawartości pirytu wpływającego na mikroporowatość skał łupkowych wynoszą otworze Berejów OU-1 średnio 4%, a w otworze Syczyn OU-1 3%.
