Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Charakterystyka złóż polimetaliczych Sudbury (Kanada) na przykładzie kopalni McCreedy West(Data obrony: 2014-12-17) Kogut, Anna
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaEarly Proterozoic Sudbury Structure is located in southern part of Canadian Shield. It is very unique because of its origin by meteoric impact. Sudbury Structure hosts many Cu – Ni –PGE massive sulphides deposits. One of them is mined out in McCreedy West Mine (KGHM International) located in North Range. During the internship funded by KGHM International 27 samples were taken from McCreedy West deposit. 22 samples were examinated in reflected light. As a result of microscopic studies the vertical zonation was found. To fully investigate the chemical composition of chosen minerals 37 analyzes were made using Jeol Superprobe JXA-8230 electron microprobe. During the EDS analysis palladium mineral - michenerite was identified.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Cu-Ni-PGE mineralization in the Morrison deposit, Sudbury(Data obrony: 2017-07-20) Foltyn, Krzysztof
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaOre in Morrison deposit (Sudbury) is rich in copper, nickel, platinum, palladium and gold. Chalcopyrite dominates mineral assemblage, while the main Ni-bearing phases are pentlandite and millerite. Cubanite, pyrrhotite, mackinawite, magnetite, sphalerite and galena are accessory minerals. Platinum occurs as discrete minerals: moncheite ($PtTe_{2}$) grains with hessite ($Ag_{2}Te$), maslovite (PtBiTe) and sperrylite ($PtAs_{2}$). Palladium might occur as a substitution in pentlandite and as a discrete PGM phases: michenerite (PdBiTe) and paolovite ($Pd_{2}Sn$). Observed zonation in the deposit can be explained by fractional crystallization of magmatic sulfides. There is a possibility of partial remobilization of precious metals (especially gold) by later hydrothermal and/or metamorphic processes which are represented by authigenic quartz, silicates (epidote, amphiboles) and secondary magnetite containing sulphide inclusions.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Mineralizacja kruszcowa poziomu MD 4 złoża Morrison w kraterze impaktytowym Sudbury, Ontario, Kanada(Data obrony: 2017-06-27) Synowiec, Piotr
