Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Amorphization and liquid state separation in $Ni_{80-2x}Cu_{x}Fe_{x}P_{20}$ alloys(2014) Ziewiec, Krzysztof; Prusik, Krystian; Różycka, MirosławaThe aim of the work is to study the ability and potential of glass formation in Ni-Fe-Cu-P alloys. A series of alloys were produced in arc furnace (i.e. $Ni_{70}Fe_{5}Cu_{5}Pe_{20}, Ni_{60}Fe_{10}Cu_{10}P_{20}, Ni_{50}Fe_{15}Cu_{15}P_{20}, Ni_{40}Fe_{20}Cu_{20}P_{20}, Ni_{30}Fe_{25}Cu_{25}P_{20}, Ni_{20}Fe_{30}Cu_{30}P_{20}$). The primary microstructure of the ingots was studied. The ribbons in as-melt-spun state were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The $Ni_{70}Fe_{5}Cu_{5}P_{5}, Ni_{60}Fe_{10}Cu_{10}P_{20}$ melt-spun alloys were found to be amorphous. For higher copper and iron concentrations a crystalline structure was obtained after melt spinning. This correlated with the tendency for the formation of the Fe-based phases enriched in P and Cu-based poorly alloyed phases which resulted in the formation of crystalline microstructure in melt-spun ribbons. For higher concentration of Fe and Cu, microstructures of the alloys contained constituents resultant from a tendency for separation in the liquid state. It is observed that the formation of the crystal line melt-spun ribbons is caused by the attraction of phosphorus by iron and the formation of copper-based fcc phase.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Analiza fazowa i chemiczna roztworów stałych na przykładzie minerałów strefy utleniania(Data obrony: 2016-07-22) Matoga, Weronika
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaNiniejsza praca magisterska dotyczy występowania roztworów stałych w minerałach strefy utleniania złoża Rędziny. Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Effects of asymmetric rolling with tilted material entry on texture and mechanical properties of aluminiumByrska-Wójcik, Dorota Joanna; Ostachowska, Monika; Gibek, Julia; Wierzbanowski, Krzysztof; Wróbel, Mirosław; Błoniarz, Remigiusz; Baczmański, Andrzej; Kopyściański, Mateusz; Kalemba-Rec, Izabela
Wydział Inżynierii Metali i Informatyki Przemysłowej; Wydział Fizyki i Informatyki Stosowanej; Wydział Fizyki i Informatyki StosowanejAsymmetric rolling texture of aluminium alloy 1050 was examined both experimentally and numerically. The rolling asymmetry was realized using rolls with different diameters rotating with the same angular velocity and by varying inclination of the rolling strip (i.e., the flat and tilted entry of the rolled strip between rolls). The final, 84% reduction in the thickness was obtained after six consecutive rolling passes. Crystallographic texture variation over the rolled bar thickness was determined using X-ray diffraction and predicted using the Finite Element Method combined with two crystalline deformation models (i.e., the elasto-plastic and the elasto-viscoplastic ones). Textures predicted by both models, taking into account all deformation process parameters, are in good agreement with experimental results. The obtained results confirm the effect of texture modifications caused by the shear stress component, resulting in the shifts of selected texture maxima in the orientation space, and explain the observed texture distribution across the sample depth. The novelty of this work consist in examination of the role of the tilted material entry (besides a difference in rolls diameters) in homogenization of texture distribution in multi-pass asymmetric rolling. The rolling geometry process variants, recommended for the technological practice, are indicated.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Secondary minerals of Pb-Zn Stan Terg skarn deposit, Kosovo - X-Ray Diffraction and Raman spectroscopy study(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2012) Kołodziejczyk, Joanna; Solecka, Urszula; Pršek, JaroslavStan Terg deposit, one of numerous occurrences within the Vardar Zone on the Balkan Peninsula, is located in the north-eastern part of Kosovo. The formation of the deposit was controlled by metasomatic processes between carbonates and volcanic intrusive rocks. Ore bodies are located on the contact between Tertiary volcanic breccias, and Triassic metamorphic Trepça Series (represented by schists and carbonates). Significant number of ore precipitated from hydrothermal fluids in paleokarst cavities. Galena, sphalerite, pyrite, pyrrhotite and arsenopyrite are the main components of the primary ore assemblage (Forgan 1950, Schumacher 1950, Palinkaš et al. 2013).
