Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe relationship between the thickness and copper accumulation of carbonate ore and thickness of sandstone ore in the region of Central elevation of the Rudna deposit has been examined. Statistical analysis showed significant variations in these deposit parameters. The study of correlation and regression of the mentioned parameters revealed a poor correlation between thickness of the carbonate and sandstone ores and between copper accumulation within carbonate ore and thickness of sandstone ore. However, between the thickness of carbonate ore and copper accumulation within carbonate ore exists a very strong relationship , so that the prediction of one parameter value from the value of the other on the basis of the determined regression model is very effective. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaEarlier studies on lithological structure and accumulation index of Cu in LGOM deposits showed a relationship between thickness of shale ore and accumulation index of Cu in the carbonate ore. Statistical analysis of the thickness of shale ore and accumulation index of Cu in the carbonate ore indicates a high variability of these parameters. Geostatistical analysis showed a relatively high level of non-random component in the variability structure of both series. The correlation and regression of deposit parameters showed statistically significant but relatively poor correlation (correlation coefficient slightly exceeding the value of -0.2). Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaIn the study attempted to search the relationship between the thickness of the shale series and the accumulation index of Cu in carbonate series in the part of Rudna deposit. Analysis of variability of shale thickness and accumulation index of Cu in carbonate based on their maps made by kriging showed that, for the change in the accumulation index of Cu in carbonate ore is associated with differences in the thickness of the ore shale (the larger the thickness of the shale, the lower accumulation index of Cu in carbonate). Correlation and regression analysis between those parameters for samples with accumulation index of Cu in carbonate series more than 50 kg/m2 showed the existence of a relatively strong, statistically significant correlation with a correlation coefficient of -0.45 and and linear model of regression . Made maps of the accumulation index of Cu in carbonate series based on set of regression models and information about thickness only indicates the possibility of indicative designation of areas where accumulation index of Cu in carbonate series does not exceed 10 kg/m2.
