Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Minerały ilaste jako materiały stosowane w remediacji środowisk zdegradowanych(Data obrony: 2013-04-16) Pietras, Maciej
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe aim of this study was to perform experimental works on the formation of metal complexes of different varieties of the reactive minerals from the smectite group and to determine the properties of the obtained materials such as: pillared hydroxy-Cr smectites (P OH/Cr-M), intercalated smectites hydroxy-Cr interlayers in the structure of smectite (I OH/Cr-M), mixed OH-Cr/smectite colloids (composite colloids formed in the reaction of smectite with OH/Cr colloids). Acid properties of these materials were determined by the sorption of gaseous ammonia. The availability of the interlayer was examined by using guanidine hydrochloride. The study may help in the interpretation of geochemical processes particulary occurring between the mineral components of the soil environment the environmental contaminants such as: chromium (III) ions, hydroxy-Cr complexes and allow to control the process of remediation of that degraded soils, and acumulation of ddifferent chromium (III). Comparision studies beetwen the different forms OH/Cr-smectite complexes conformet that pillared hydrokxy-Cr-smectites presents the greatest reactivity and sorptive affinity.
