Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Zu dem Energiebegriff(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Kozaczka, JarosławIn the contribution three main standpoints to the energy concept definition have been presented. Besides the skeptical one, two important ways of defining energy can be distinguished: the one specific for physicists, and the second for thermodynamicians. For the first group the kind of the work, which appears in the energy concept definition, is fully trivial, but for the second group it is of the decisive importance. In the contribution the second standpoint will be motivated, in particular the need of taking into account the quality of particular energy kinds, e.g. of the work, as an energy interaction. Every energy and energy interaction consists of its exergy and anergy. And just the exergy, which describes not only quantity, but also the energy quality, is the main parameter for the power engineer, and hence should be taken into account in thermodynamic analyses. That is why every energy concept definition, which does not take account of the work quality, is not motivated in the thermodynamics at all.
