    The purpose of this study was to compare the behavior of different types of aggregates in selected samples of asphaltic concrete. It is well known that the adhesion at the contact surface between the asphalt and aggregate is one of the most important functional features, guarantee durability of asphalt mixes. Using the macroscopic and microscopic methods were examined and described the characteristics that affect the quality of aggregates and asphalt bind various igneous rocks, sedimentary rocks and metamorphic rocks used for the production of aggregates used in asphalt pavements in Poland. Describes the history of research-related adhesion to bitumen, and compared the results of their own with historical findings.
