Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Badania elektrooporowe dla potrzeb archeologicznych na terenie kompleksu dworsko-parkowego w Nowej Hucie Branicach(Data obrony: 2012-09-26) Figa, Magdalena
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe increasing popularity of geophysical methods for archaeological prospection stems from their non-invasiveness, and relatively low cost of research. This paper presents the results of using Geoelectrical methods, such as: Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) and penetration resistance profiling for the archaeological site in Branice (Poland). For the purpose of this research fives ERT profile were carried out and eighteen penetration resistance profiling positions to the depth of 1.5 m were studied. Additionally, the issue of ERT method resolution for selected models of archaeological objects was discussed.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Badania magnetyczne rejonu historycznej działalności człowieka(Data obrony: 2014-09-30) Krzysztofczyk, Gabriela
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThis thesis aims to bring the magnetic method which is a good choice during archaeological research. For selected examples of its application are described in detail: the selection of appropriate sites and setting profiles measurements and interpretation. Chapter I describes the theoretical basis of the method. You can find here information about the structure of the Earth's magnetic field and its temporal changes, apparatus, for measuring magnetic fields and how they conduct and interpretation. Chapter II describes the use of magnetic methods on selected examples. It was presented acquisition and full interpretation of data from measurements made in Wieliczka, Wislica, Głuszyca and Lutolu Wet. The last chapter contains a summary of the thesis.Item type:Book, Access status: Open Access , O odkryciu paleolitu z fauną ssawców dyluwialnych pod Glinianami(Akademia Umiejętności, 1914) Wiśniowski, TadeuszItem type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Ocena stanu zachowania gomółek późnośredniowiecznych i nowożytnych(Data obrony: 2018-07-02) Stelmach, Katarzyna
Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Zabezpieczające prace górnicze w obiektach archeologicznych - zabezpieczenie jaskini w Obłazowej(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Chmura, JanuszThe archeological investigations that were conducted in the valley of the Białka river in the Obłazowa cave in 1985-95 resulted in many significant discoveries. Among them were the world oldest boomerang made of the mammoth tusks and many objects with magical significance to the prehistoric man. The discoveries were dated from 30 thousand years BC. After a few-year break in the investigations, preparations to the next stage of archeological investigations started that aimed at reaching the rock bottom of the cave. However, they had to be preceded by preservation operations as the present technical condition of the cave posed a danger to people inside. Preservation operations were carried out aiming at the stability of the walls and the roof. They did not destroy the initial looks of the working but at the same time they ensured full safety to people inside. What is more the safety elements were masked and invisible when the work was completed. The materials applied had suitable certificates that alloved them to be used in difficult conditions, and were neutral to the surrounding environment.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Zastosowanie geofizycznych badań elektrooporowych w rozpoznaniu morfologii antropogenicznej na przykładzie zamku błogosławionej Salomei w Grodzisku pod Skałą (Małopolska)(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Domogalla, Witold; Mościcki, Włodzimierz JerzyMonumental archaeological and landscape complex in Grodzisko is located within Ojcowski National Park (Małopolska province, South Poland). The complex was investigated historically and archaeologically in 60-ties and 90-ties of the XX century and lately in 2003. Results of geophysical research played an important role in planning archaeological excavations and analysis of historical events. The methods used were penetrometer-based resistivity profiling and DC resistivity imaging. The first method was used for recognition of different cultural accumulation layers within embankments of the courtyard. Resistivity imaging made along five lines located near historical church discovered distinct high-resistivity zones. These zones reflected the presence of underground fragments of historical walls confirmed later by the archaeological excavation works. Complex analysis of historical and archeological data leads to the opinion that discovered walls are remnants of the building of defense-residential character, probably one of the oldest examples of the »architectura militaris« on the area of Poland.
