    Poland, with significant potential for enabling the production of biogas, seeks to develop the use of renewable energy sources. However, according to the position of Polish Biogas Association scope of support for the biogas sector in the country needs change. Evaluation of the potential and forecasts indicate the significant potential of the biogas sector in Poland and predict its development. The development of biogas plants is possible, indicated and recommended. Biogas plants can play an important share of energy from renewable sources in the total energy consumed. It should be emphasized their role in reducing carbon emissions and uncontrolled methane emissions, waste management, or the prospect of rural development.
