Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Diagnostyka przepływu materiału sypkiego podczas grawitacyjnego opróżniania silosu smukłego(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2008) Grudzień, Krzysztof; Niedostatkiewicz, Maciej; Chaniecki, ZbigniewThe paper presents the results of the measurements of the solid concentration changes during gravitational emptying the cylindrical silo. The measurements were taken by applied the non-invasive diagnostic method - Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT). The experiments conducted for different initially density of granular material with smooth and rough silo walls. Increasing the wall roughness is a one of the most effective way to reduce the dynamics effects, arousing as the result of the resonance between the trembling of granular material and the silo construction. In order to conduct the detailed analysis of shear zone in the wall profile was applied ECT methodology to visualize the changes of concentration distribution in time and tomography image processing to calculate the characteristic parameters of shear zone.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Metodyka porównania tomografów pojemnościowych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2007) Grudzień, Krzysztof; Chaniecki, Zbigniew; Romanowski, Andrzej; Banasiak, Robert; Wajman, Radosław; Yang, Wuquiang; Sankowski, DominikThe paper presents an approach to establish a methodology for comparison of tomography systems measurement properties. Conducted experiments tested tomography systems under a number of different, proposed criteria concerning measurement capabilities. There was the same sensor used for both tomography types employed. Both systems allow a number of configuration modifications, which was deployed only in a very short range, but this property can be exploited deeper in further research. The analysis of obtained results is the first stage of the work on the objectives procedures of the tomography systems comparison. It can be very helpful in the choice of the adequate tomography system relatively to its industrial applications. Additionally the presented methodology allows better understanding between hardware constructors and process investigators.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Walidacja modelu numerycznego czujnika pojemnościowego 3D(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Banasiak, RobertThe 3D image reconstruction is a complicated and time consuming computational job. There are few important problems solved during this multistage, iterative process which can significantly influence on the effectiveness of the image reconstruction. One of the most crucial parts of image reconstruction process is a computation of forward model which is simulation of capacitance data and an accuracy of this process depends on the method we are using for that. Typically finite elements method and numerical 3D ECT model is used for maximizing the accuracy of the forward problem. In this paper a new idea of complete numerical model of 3D ECT sensor has been presented with its preliminary validation based on experimental data. The complete model of 3D ECT sensor with full screening arrangement and other constructional details is able to improve forward problem solution accuracy and also improves matching between simulated and experimental capacitance data.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wpływ jakości mapy czułości i metody rekonstrukcji na wynik pomiaru koncentracji w przepływie gaz-ciecz(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2010) Rząsa, Mariusz R.The paper presents the results of tests on influence of quality of the sensitivity map generation on the image reconstraction. The sensitivity maps were generated with use of the methods of solution of the Poison's equation for different numbers of the network nodes for the finite element method. The sensitivity maps generated in such a way were applied for determination of the volume fraction of some chosen stractures of the gas-liquid flow. The optimum selection of a number of nodes of the finite element network for determination of sensitivity maps was considered. The results were also related to analysis of influence of the image reconstraction methods and influence of these methods on the measurement results. The paper contains many experimental data shown as the graphs.
